Do you hookah?

The boss lady and I enjoy kicking back, watching a movie and enjoying a bowl. I'm currently quitting cigarettes, and the hookah (even the steam stones) is a great help!

For those that don't hookah... Shisha is the "tobacco" you use in the bowl. It works like a combination water pipe (bong) and vaporizer. The Shisha contains no, or almost no nicotine, it's washed multiple times to remove the nicotine. After it's rinsed/washed and dried it is infused with flavor. Steam stones are an alternative to shisha and require a special bowl. They are just what they sound like -- stones soaked in a flavored liquid.

We've got a couple hookahs, and like to break 'em out when we have company over, after dessert while enjoying wine, coffee, or whatever. When we play games with guests over.

Hookah is fun, especially with some really good shisha. The smoke is so smooth you can take some huge rips, love doing smoke tricks with it.

And, when you have all of that wet trim (the sugar leaf that's ridiculously covered in trichs) you can mix it in with the Shisha, and a mellow high follows.

I wish there was a traditional middle eastern hookah bar in my area. Only one around here is really Americanized. They play top-40 and what not and it's very modern looking. Nice thing about it though is you can bring your own beer and wine. We brought a bottle of moscato diasti and it complimented the green apple shisha we picked out well. The whole time I was scheming on how I could some how work a hockey puck of hash in with the shisha lol.

Heave you in the bathtub? If yer getting sick, it's a quick drag to the balcony. Otherwise, we're more progressive than that! You can sleep it off where you pass out.

One of the things I miss most about having the perpetual going -- I had herb and plant that I could mix into the shisha every night!

What brands/flavors? I'm partial to the Haze, Coco Roast is one of my favorites. Starbuzz had the Pirate's Cove, that was pretty good, too bad their outta business. Almost any blueberry mix is good, except the pancake and waffles, those taste a bit dry.

My favorite mix: Blueberry and Pomegranate, with a hint of Coco Roast and as much Afghan landrace Indica as the bowl can tolerate.

Fill the base up with freshly steeped pomegranate and cherry white tea.

I had a cappuccino that I used to smoke in the morning, while enjoying a nice blonde roast with a bit of almond milk.

I smoked menthol, for the past 30 years or so, don't really like any of the mint or eucalyptus shisha though.

IDK the particulars.My last GF was into it.We had all sorts of stuff.Now I've just got some fruity stuff.I don't break out the hookah to often but when I do I usually throw my own herbs in it

One of my favorite ways to enjoy herb. You keep some fresh, or do you only use dry/cured?

I found that fresh -- we kept a nice jar full of fresh trim and buds in the fridge, keeps it from burning up too quickly, and really gives the shisha a nice compliment. Dry, the flavor tends to overpower, you miss the subtlety of the shisha's flavors. Of course, a sweet floral herb with a nice fruity bouquet, properly cured, can also bring out the best in an otherwise weak mixed shisha

Pack it just right, and when you try to sit up to stir it, you'll realize that you won't actually be sitting upright for a good while...
