Why isn't this man dead?

Cabs only a temporary solution I'm talking about helping a person quit drinking not encouraging them to be an alcoholic..
There is nothing temporary about snuffing a life out because you are a fuckhead! Sorry I have not dumped out my heart here, but suffice it to say that too many lives have been wasted this way. I encourage whatever treatment is needed - but you can't escape the underlying point.

I was just reading news feeds and this one came along. I thought you were pretty much dead by .33 is this man made out of titanium.

Police say an Iowa City man was arrested after crashing his vehicle into a street sign while driving with a blood-alcohol content nearly six times the legal limit.
Iowa City police responded to the J Street residence of Levi B. Carter, 28, about 2 a.m. Friday after a witness reported that she had been a passenger in Carter’s vehicle when he drove off the road and hit a street sign, according to a police complaint.
The witness said Carter had been driving about 55 miles per hour on First Avenue before the crash, police say.
Upon arrival at Carter’s residence, officers located Carter in his house’s basement and was “talking to people that were not there,” according to the police complaint.
Police say Carter could barely stand without holding himself up and said he had two beers a few hours before police arrived and initially denied driving. Carter later admitted to driving the passenger home and was too intoxicated to complete a field sobriety test, according to police.
Police say Carter provided a weak breath into a preliminary breath test and the last reading was .467 percent before the PBT just read ‘HI,’ meaning it was too high to register.

Carter has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a serious misdemeanor.

Distracted drivers using electronic devices are much more likely to cause an accident.

I would much, much rather encounter a drunk driver as they are more predictable.
