Maybe a little advice on harvest?

The plant below has been flowered for 7 1/2 weeks, and I am seeing some amber trichomes. I think it's done, but the pistils have not dried at all. I think it is a satori strain, and I have no experience with it. The seeds were given to me. Should I wait on the pistils, or go with the tric's? Thanks for your opinions.

Looks great do far bro. Give it another 3 or 4 days and give her the snip. Let us know how it finishes up.

Thanks! I take pictures each week to monitor the growth, and there's not been much difference this last week.

Stop it... he's growing in soil... no need to flush that soil... unless you really F'ed up....
Now for your harvest:
My Opinion-
Plant is still making white hairs... WAIT until the plant quits popping out white hairs.....
Your plant has white hairs... Wait at least a week....or two--
After, plant stops making white hairs....
All the hairs will recede back into bud... if you see white hairs on top of plant, no matter how shriveled... wait another week or so ...
All hairs need to recede back into bud....
ALL OF THEM....
So now you've waited and it's January 25-27 and now you can check for Tric's...
Amber Tric's are degraded, and don't get you high...
Harvest when you have the highest amount of Milky/White Tric's on your plant....
FYI:
Plant makes clear Tric's until the day you harvest...
As plant dries and cures a few clear tric's turn to white... and a few white, turn to amber...

Yes, last saturday flushed the hell out of it. I thought it would go until next saturday, but I'm concerned about the trichs turning amber so fast

Your plant is seriously at least three weeks away before your harvest window opens...
WAIT-WAIT-WAIT.... You will so be happy you did, that plant will finish before your eyes, and you will know for next time....

You just need to chill and wait...
Most newbies harvest way too soon, and then they come on here and advise to harvest early also...
If you wait you will be rewarded...
Flushing is completely un-necessary in Soil...
"But My Hydro store dude told me too..."
And he sold you flush products... waste of money and time...
Now, listen up:
Feed your plants normally for two more weeks...
Then check for tric's...
Plant is NOT Done... it will only have 50% of the total THC that it could possibly have...
Buds could and will double in size internally....
Squeeze your biggest bud, four inches from the top....
Is the bud hard and dense or soft and fluffy?
Buds dense and harden up the last three weeks...
Sorry man have some patience....
You have three more weeks or so....
Chill....It will be worth it

Hmmmmm, I don't have a way to post trich pics, but sounds like I need to wait a little longer. I'll just keep a close eye on trichs, and if to many start turning amber I'll cut it. What do people use to take those pictures? Thanks for the advice from all.

Could just be leaf damage, caused by over handling....

The way I check trichs is under a jeweler's loupe. Sometimes you see what looks to be amber colored trichomes only to find, under magnification, that it's an orange pistil lying on the trichs.

if you want it to finish just stop watering and let it ripen on the vine, a week or 2 it should be ready. you need a camera with a macro lens (or magnifying glass) or a microscope to really judge

Thousands of layers...
This time right before harvest is when the bud gets hard.... and packs on the weight... it may look the same size for last four weeks, however internal layers of Tric's are being grown....
If you cut open a ripe bud [just harvested or just dried,]
You will find a sea of white trichome pleasure.... Tric's connected and forming a THC super highway...
My Buds have billions of Tric's
Hundreds of layers of Tric's...
And never a amber one found under the surface....

Good Luck man.... After you've harvested a couple of hundred plants... You'll be able to look at any picture, of any plant and tell:
two weeks left... BECAUSE there are still white hairs growing out...
One week left .... because now all the hairs have started to recede back into bud....
Harvest window opens.... Because No white hairs growing.... Hairs that did grow, have started to recede....
Harvest window wide open .... Because all hairs have receded.... White/Milky Tric's are over 90% [clear/and amber less than 5% each]
Harvest window stays open until....Amber Tric's over 10% and all of your fan leaves are yellow and falling off....
TOO LATE Harvest window closes when Amber Tric's over 10% and or leaves on bud starting to excessive yellow....

This is what I observe on my grows. Not what I have learned or read... This is my real world experience....

I'm in Sand4's camp...you got another 3 weekes for those...if you were to harvest now the buds would be very airy and your yield will be poor...g/l

What your saying makes sense to me. The buds seem to me to be very hard, but I am going to wait like suggested. Maybe get a little more yield. I notice this morning that some pistils are turning red. Thanks for the help.
