Will any carb caps work with my dab essentials 14mm domeless?

Idk but I coughed up 50+ bucks for a Ti domeless nail to find out it sucks... The oil sometimes goes into the holes effing up your dab...I like my quartz domeless nail so much better

Did you season the nail? Temps correct? You dabbing on the side wall and it's running down then it's either not seasoned or not up to temp imo.

Nope... Maybe that why I didn't like the regular Ti nail either... Has a metallic taste. The quartz or glass nails need no seasoning & have no taste but to be honest when I got the Ti nails I had no clue what I was doing...still don't apparently. Also the Ti domeless took forever to heat up due to the thickness. Don't mean to poo poo on Ti just prefer quartz and had to spent a lotta dough to find this out

You need a bigger torch. Don't give up on titanium, you can get bigger dabs off them but you do need a better torch.

Check out the Vector Nitro. Thats what I use for my nail. Smaller models just don't do it. Stick with butane.

Once you get that thing working like it should it will provide some world rocking dabs.

Forgot to mention that extra trouble getting the Ti nail hot rewards you with more heat being held in the nail. This means it's very hard to swamp a Ti nail, you just end up getting a bigger hit. ;)

So I noticed with the TI and HE domeless' is that they have a wide area where you can dab and the oil tends to stay there, but since I have a DE Domeless, the holes are on the same platform as where you dab so if I carb cap will my oil just spread and go into the small holes and essentially waste the dab? or do carb caps still work in that situation.

Yeah I'm lost too.

Note a pool of oil won't vape as it's quenched the surface it's in contact with. If it falls off your dabber you need to smear it around to keep exposing the oil to hot nail. When dabbing you touch the wax to nail briefly, lift off and repeat. This allows heat from inside the nail to reheat the surface between dabs to maintain proper temps.

Never used a nail like that one.

lmao!!

so yall know when yall do a big dab or your nail isnt that hot and it slowly smokes off the nail.... some one on here pointed out to put your thumb over your dome and this will make it milk up, i use a metal lid
so what the carb cap is, is just that an expensive way to do that

oh and the thumb over the dome is a good idea i will heat up my 18 nail and get 3 dabs on it the last one smokes a little slower and thats all i do and it works great

now spending some of the money they want for some of these carb caps... i dont think so

I've got a huge stok torch... My nail gets red hot in seconds, no problem there. Too late- already gave up on Ti in favor of quartz - does dabs that keep ya head ringing

Ok thought a carb cap was to plug up your carb to convert your standard bong/bowl to a carbless rig but now I'm not too sure what it is.... Just get a regular oil dome set that fits your bong- works awesome. You don't need to drop $160 on this; there's much better alternatives

It's not $160 at all, It's a mere $30 maybe even cheaper at smoke shops.

Has anyone tried or seen these ceramic domeless nails? Supposed to be pretty nice. Self cleaning, and non-porous so the taste is as pure as it gets.

A real dab essential nail will run 130 or more. They are the purest ti out on the market and will last much longer than they're knockoff counterparts. Ive spent a good amout of time with the guys at dab essential and canna culture collective and they put alot of effort into product design. I prefer my 14 mm over the silika and highly educated nails most definitely.

Just to clarify...

Ole dabs was the poster that brought up the thumb over the hole to act as a carb cap.

@QK
a carb cap is a little piece of metal, usually Ti...

Mostly for use on domeless nails.
After you dab, remove dabber from nail, and place the carb cap on..
It's essentially a lid with a tiny hole strategically placed in the side of the cap.

This does the same exact thing as placing your thumb over the hole on your dome.

It ultimately uses the residual heat generated from the nail to finish off” puddles” of oil left in the nail after a larger dab.

@Midnitetoke..
I usually hear the exact opposite...

Ime, Quartz takes forever to season properly and if you get it too hot, I always get that” hot glass” taste.

I hope you didn't get one of dem dare China man Ti(Ty) nails.
50$ for a domeless Ti???
Too cheap, something is not right there my friend.

And guys!!!!!

Please please don't waste your hard earned cash on a brand name torch!

I agree, don't get a cheapo mini Bernzo, or the like...

Go to Bed, Bath & Beyond, ask for a Creme Brulle torch, get the bigger model.

This is a Vector torch without the 60$ price tag.
Cost me 26$ with 20% off coupon.
Had it about a year...
Not once has it failed to light on the first attempt, never sputters, always reliable.

Haha...Yeah, the BB&B Bonjour Brand crème brulee torch is the same as the vector nitro, too true. I unfortunately have both, since I didn't find out about the Bonjour till after I had bought the Vector nitro...

Also, you can fold up a piece of cardboard and jam it into the safety of this torch, so you don't have to engage it every time you wanna light it...Does that make me recklessly lazy? You decide...lol
