Why does co2 hurt my plants!?

the room is sealed and the building is very tight and in a steel building. I battle mold and shit on the walls constantly during winter. due to condensation.
sulfur burners work excellent for this. Also I have root aphids and being perpetual they are near impossible to eradicate. The sulfur burn helps to prevent fliers thereby reducing their spread from tray to tray.
I assure you that after 3-4 days under 60w/sq.ft and as much air circulation that I have that the sulfur has all dissipated and does not effect the quality or taste of the product......otherwise i'd hear about it.
knock wood I have never had any pm or mold of any sort on my colas....thank god.

but that isn't really answering the question hyroot.
the entire premise that fletch made and i believe you too was that one HAS to vent a co2 enriched room or risk strangling the plants.
I would possibly agree with this if we were talking soil grown plants. Since they only get water every other day or so. but In f&d where they get fresh water and o2 to the roots several times a day I don't see how this is necessary.
and I am still searching for a pertinent study saying a vent cycle is necessary for a hydroponically grown co2 enriched room.
I'm considering purchasing a subscription to springerlink as they seem to have the most available studies on the subject.
i'm beginning to think fletch jumped the gun on me earlier.

Plants need o2 as well as co2. They go hand n hand. You can't give one without the other. Outside if there was only co2. All life would cease. If you had air exchange or even a scrub filter or a dehum you wouldn't have moisture issues. I'd hate to smoke your pot. Sulfur weed is disgusting. Ruins the quality.

i'm thinking this is the difference here.
again, i've only been running c02 for three years. and honestly I haven't really dialed my grow in until the last six months or so.
this is why I am looking for people with more experience on the subject to weigh in here.

lol just another hater what the fuck ever dude. you haven't a clue. I've been playing with this for a while now and yes, I've burnt too close to harvest once or twice but I now have that down.
and I have two scrub filters and two dehumidifiers going mr. fucking noitall
My humidity in my room never gets over 55%
as I stated before. the condensation I get is due to being in a steel building but apparently you overlooked that in your haste to judge me.
I thought you were cool with some knowledge on the subject at hand. apparently I was wrong.

I'm not being a hater, I'm being realistic. Who wants weed that smells and tastes like sulfur.. Its gross. Very harsh and toxic. I could never give weed like that to my patients. It would make them more sick than they are. I won't even touch weed grown with guano or bottled nutes(all chems)..
you been running co2 and haven't dialed in your grow. That's ass backwards. You won't have any beneficial results without dialing your grow.
you are over thinking it. O2 to your roots . Just make sure roots have plenty of space. You can add an aquarium air pump with airstones. There's alot more o2 naturally in the air than co2.

I also find it interesting that you think a scrubber will do anything for humidity. It is becoming obvious that you don't know much about this subject at all.

what kind of dehue you running to keep the humidity from stunting growth? My dehue went out on a sealed room run @1200ppm and temps stayed consistent so didn't bother to fix / replace immediately but I noticed crazy drops in yield from just added humidity?

a scrubber will clean the air. Ie no mold. Dehum or air exchange will keep humidity at proper levels.. Again common sense...

I leave for a day and come back to 57 replies! Didnt expect that. Not suprised to see the debate start into some squabbling, that does seem to happen around here a lot. So many different opinions...
To answer some questions - I use air exchanges to reduce humidity, an AC to control temps. Temps run 75-80 degrees, so I will try increasing this, but I dont think that is what is causing such a dramatic change in water absorption.
I only run CO2 with lights on, vent the room entirely at lights out. I do have PM problems, but that was before the CO2 problem, so Im not going into it here.
Ive tried with two different CO2 controllers. I use canna coco and GH nutes. Humidity never increases above 50%
So the plants should be getting lots of O2. I know this is not the most efficient way, but I just want to figure this out before I spend a lot on a dehumidifier. No point if the CO2 just RUINS the plants!!
