This is CV Lexington in Coral Sea 1944, getting the shit kicked outta her by IJN warplanes so you can spit that dribble and enjoy your life too much and stay as free as you are now. You typed that shit up there, not me. The Military today is all volunteer. Scooby only suggested something, You proved something.

You`re a gutless F`n coward !i
As I recall, the enemy hit us on our own soil back then. We weren't talking about WWII, we were talking about something a little more recent.

Just so you know, my dad was drafted into Vietnam where he earned a bronze star.

If you think we have been to war since WWII for anything but money, you are dumber than I first though. Don't be that dumb...

Edit: Was that the NAVY's motto in 1944?

Name calling is frowned upon as I found out when I called you a douchebag earlier and was censored. So rather than call you a coward and a pussy I will simply state that the best past of you ran down your Daddys leg. I believe his brave service far outweighs the poor job he did of raising his son. Have a nice day :hump:

Well, I can't help it if you don't read the whole thread.
I did. I was going to say something when you posted about the "two" but then you go and insult every member on this site that served and you don`t even know it. You`re good at name calling as expected. I bet you run fast too.

This thread is not about Scooby, it is about the one`s you insulted. Take your licks and drop it.

What do you mean I don't know it?

Yes, I think that anyone who volunteers for the US Military is a moron.

Why would someone join a military that goes looking for conflict?

I just started a thread about it in politics. Anyone who wants to discuss it further can meet me over there.

This is such a ludicrous statement that all I'll say in response is you're welcome, though I doubt you appreciated what I did for 24 years for my country and fellow citizens unless you were one of the scores of people that didn't die at sea.

"On the morning of the 17th, the pleasure craft Olo Yumi with 52 persons sank when the people on board panicked, ran to the stern, and caused water to come over the transom. The helicopter on patrol from cutter Courageous sighted the people in the water and began rescue operations. The cutter, a few miles from the disaster, broadcasted the emergency. Arriving, Courageous launched her boats, lowered cargo nets, and put swimmers in the water. She along with Coast Guard helicopters rescued 38 and recovered 10 bodies. These refugees had been among those housed in the Peruvian Embassy. One survivor, a 15-year-old girl, lost both parents, both sisters, and a grandparent. The boat had been grossly overloaded. Admiral Stabile sent the following Telex message to the Cuban Border Guard:

THE 35 FOOT VESSEL "OLO YUMI" NUMBER FL4860CU DEPARTED MARIEL HARBOR AT NIGHT 16 MAY 1980 WITH 52 PERSONS ON BOARD. THE VESSEL CAPSIZED AND SANK ABOUT 0830 17 MAY 1980 25 MILES NORTHEAST OF MARIEL. TEN PERSONS ARE DEAD AND FOUR REMAIN UNLOCATED. COAST GUARD CUTTERS AND HELICOPTERS HAVE RESCUED 38 PERSONS FROM THE WATER. TEN OF THESE PERSONS ARE SERIOUSLY INJURED. THIS MARINE TRAGEDY HAPPENED BECAUSE TOO MANY PERSONS WERE PUT ON BOARD THE SMALL BOAT."

Well said my friend, well said. If i never thanked you then let me take the chance now. I appreciate what you did for our country and hope that over the course of our friendship i someday may be able to repay the debt in total.

Always Prepared

I'll let the families of these brave men and women know what you think of their fallen sons and daughters. i'll do you one better. i'll pay for your flight and 5 star hotel and why don't you come down to north carolina with me and explain this to some members of my brother's team. explain to the brightest and toughest men i know how they are morons to their faces instead of hiding behind your mom's desktop while she's pulling a double at the waffle house.

Most people, including me, don't consider the Coast Guard as part of the American War Machine. If you want to though, that's cool.

I will, right after you go stand in the prison courtyard telling dudes how you think snitching is OK, as long as it helps you out.

you are in the minority there then because the coast guard is MOST DEFINITELY part of the U.S. Armed Services and some of their stations and jobs are some of the most dangerous in the military. But hey, jumping into freezing water off the coast of Alaska to save men who most assuredly would die if you weren't there is something you do everyday right? Stopping the flow of illegal narcotics by armed Colombian and Mexican Cartels into the U.S. is on your schedule for next week right? Don't include "most people" in your ignorant statements. Makes the rest of us look bad.

Yeah, because saving people from sinking boats is almost the same as dropping bombs on schools in Afghanistan.

Saying that you would snitch makes you look bad...
