Germination was started 4 days ago. Method I chose was dark germination used a damp paper towel kept the seeds at mid to high 70's for about 24 hours and transferred all seedlings to pellets, where they currently reside. 24 hours after transferring to pellets I flipped on the 4 middle t5 bulbs running 18/6. The veg room is mid to high 70's low 80's at a peak with about 55% humidity when door is closed.

Day 2 of lights being on Sour AK was almost full sprout with Hypnotic followed shortly behind surfacing as I went to bed that night. They were looking slightly dry before bed so I gave them all about a tablespoon of water. That is 2/5 sprouted.

Day 3(current): Pretty excited right now they are doing just great lights just came on! And we are looking at 3/5 sprouted with Critical Mass joining the party! When the lights came on they all looked super thirsty and drank a good 2-3 tablespoons each. I Forgot to take pictures yesterday but today I snapped a few.

Hypnotic; Im not an expert but she doesn't look great the leaves just aren't bright and beautiful I really hope tomorrow is better for her. Anyone know why she looks funny?

I guess things are going ok right now. I have my t5's about 6 inches from my seedlings is that too close? its only mid 70's where they are they run parallel to bulbs in middle of the fixture. Idk im so high off this edible chili I can barely think. I think that's all for now.

Day 4-Everything is going pretty swell so far I would say we have pretty 3/5 full sprout along with white widow and the critical mass beginning to sprout with widow trailing the pack. When I got home today things were pretty dry my humidifier used more water then expected last night so humidity was down a bit. Probably from leaving the door cracked to get extra air flow until I get my exhaust fan installed. Overall progress is moving along slowly but surely! I will be posting some up closes once the family leaves. Barely had time to water and snap this pic. Things are going great for my first serious grow! Excited for the coming weeks!

Hey buddy everything's looking really good. Since your using t5's get those girls as close as possible to the light without it touching. With that light too far you will get elongated stems from them tryna reach the light. Look that up and you will see you don't want them doing that cus it slows growth. 6in not bad but see if you can get the light right on top of them without touching. Interested in seeing the led have heard mixed things bout them but we shall see with yours . Peace

Sweet yeah I believe I read something last night about them being able to be like 3" away without burning definitely getting them closer thanks! Lights are about 3" away now with temps at low 70's with door open high 70's closed. They seem happier appreciate i!

Whew what a day guys during the dark period I took my babies out of the closet put them in the humidity dome and covered them up. I just finished setting up my closet its ready for its new exhaust which from shipping info should be here on friday. If it arrives early enough I will install it same day. Its a 6" 400 CFM fan with carbon filter. and it will be venting both 3x4.5x6 tents. I say 6 ft for the height but realistically its a slanted roof closet 8 ft at highest and 7 ft lowest. 1 ft from ceiling is a shelf tho so I store stuff up there which is how I end up with the height of 6 ft. Essentially my intake will be in closet door sucking in the cold humid air from my room into the veg tent then cycling into flower room and out the roof of flowering room. I was planning on keeping the vents low for intakes and making exhaust high in ceiling with the actual filter above flowering room on the shelf up there. Here are some pics of my room

Day 5: I was very happy with the progress they are all making I had to perform emergency surgery on WW the seed was stuck on leaves. I very gently removed that and she will be rocking in no time im sure. I am a little disappointed in the critical mass being the 3rd sprout and now being the smallest even against WW who was last to the party. Everyone else looks amazing and healthy here are some pics of the babies right before lights came on and right after watering.

Everything is looking good bro. Love that zip up Mylar you have where you get that might have to put that up behind my door. No light leaks except for bottom and I have cardboard covering that lol. I gotta get me an intake fan for fresh air which isn't much will get one in couple weeks. Keep up the good work and I'll be here watching these girls become lovely sexy women. Peace

Hell Yeah I built these mylar tents they are amazing . The zippers I got at home depot in plastic/painting section 10 bucks just stick em where you want the zipper and cut. Made a massive difference for me. Will be updating the girls when im off!

Day 6 1/2
Fan should be arriving today if it does definitely looking at installing it right away. In terms of the girls they are all doing beautifully now and are going to be transplanted to some party cups right after the dark period starts.
They look like they need more space and they drink almost twice a day so its definitely time. Here are the girls last night the site was messing up so couldnt update

Day 8: Transplanted all the girls yesterday to their homes for the next good while. They are residing in 2 gallon smart pots with about 75/25 FF seed starter and the rest organic soil. They transplanted very nicely and look almost fully recovered. Unfortunately the fan wont be installed till monday but everything is ready. Im hoping in the next week or so to start running some fertilizer but so far I'm impressed with all of their progress

Well thats it for the girls right now they are sitting bout 70-75 degrees with about 50% RH fans blowing to keep it circulating. Just keeping the girls happy and playing the waiting game.

Day 10! Jeesh what a day installed the intake/exhaust for the flower/veg rooms and got everything taken care of room wise in preparation for the LED. That is the last piece on the list. In terms of the closet pretty much everything is taken care of. Looked at the girls today and as always they just look so great and today they were thirsty after 2 days finally I would be too the soil kept on being too moist to water but thats great the smart pots are perfect they needed the transplant.

Day 14 Been a few days since I updated they are doing beautifully gave them some quarter strength nutes the night before last just some Biothrive grow nothing fancy. Temps are perfect along with RH so looking good there. The girls are all pretty happy I would say!

Looking awesome man. Can't wait to see them progress. I am about 3 weeks away from harvesting my G13 Pineapple Express. Never grew her before but it was pure joy. Super strong plant in veg and so far has been awesome in flower. I didn't get any sensitivities from her - she seemed to just take everything I could throw at her. She was grown in coco using Canna Aqua Flores nutrients. I occasionally add in some Orca as well as some Dutch Master Gold Zone root conditioner every once and a while to keep her root zone ideal. She is in a 5 gallon felt pot and takes about a gallon and a half of water/food every couple days.

You will have a great experience with her and I am super stoked to watch your other strains. Nice set up. I recently switched to a 4'x8-bulb T5 (HTG slimline) and my plants dig that shit. Super bright.

Veg area - I attached some reflective material to some cardboard to try and raise the temps in there - it is a basement in a northern climate so temps dip down to 59-61 at night down there - closing them in like this keeps them nice and warm for 18 hours at least. There is an HSO Bubba Kush (blue bucket), a RP Sour Diesel (bottom right corner), an HSO Blue Dream (grey bucket), a couple of SD clones and a THSeeds Sage'n'Sour in there. All of them are looking awesome so far with the new light.

Thanks duudical I'm doing everything I can for em! Yours is absolutely gorgeous I love how she looks all those colas I want all my plants to have that nice bushy look cause 5 different strains to start will be flowering in my 3'x4'x6'ish closet. Thats encouraging to hear I have seen nothing but good grows so far I'm super excited to see how all these girls will turn out! Mine just started their nutes 4 days ago just going super light right now easing them into them started at 25% light dose biothrive grow going to move em up to probably 50% next feeding which was going to be today but looks like it will be tomorrow their is good moisture still and I made a huge mistake I bumped my mechanical timer last night adjusting my humidifier and apparently my girls didnt shut off till I got home which was about 7 my time so they got about 21 hours of light!!! I just looked at them quickly and flipped the light off cause I knew the time wasnt right to be on. They looked a little wilted like they were tired I'm hoping they bounce back tomorrow that must have been way stressful for them. I will post pics when the lights come back on for a regular update. I do love my t5's tho they are perfect currently im only running the 4 cause they are so small but here soon all 8 will be on! Your grow is doing very solid simple but effective I like it! What are you using to flower?? I cant wait till mine get as big as yours its awesome watching them grow it was only yesterday I started em

I actually used to run my veg plants on a 24/0 schedule. But after reading that there really isn't really that much of a benefit between 18/6 and 24/0, I backed them down to 18/6. So I doubt the one night of 21 hours will bother them too much.

I just started running a humidifier in my veg area. Very low humidity here (like 16-20% typically) so trying to keep it above at least 30%, but would like it much higher if I can get it there.

I use a 600w HPS for flower. I am going to eventually go all LED in flower, however waiting for the legit lights to come down a little. It's tough to swing the $1200+ that would equal the 600w HPS. I am a total LED believer, but the pricing right now is ridiculous. I have only been running this HPS for a few months now so don't have a lot of history to draw from, but I have had a couple plants flower under there and the buds were big and dense, so I am happy with it. I am actually venting it right into my veg area right now to keep the heat up. Once it warms up outside I will send it back outside, but in the winter it helps to heat the veg room pretty well.

I have a 8x4x6.5' tent on one side of my grow room that makes up my flowering room. Just the one 600w on one 4x4 side so far, but have plans to go to two lights in here eventually. Here's what the side with the light and plants looks like:

On the PE, I let it grow to like 5 or 6 nodes and then topped it at the 1st node (not counting the one with the cotyledons). I topped the Sour Diesel at the 2nd node, which yielded 4 tops, but wanted to see the difference so I just kept the PE with the two tops. That's why there are those two dominant colas with basically a branched plant off of each of them. Here is what she looked like when pretty young:



I only topped her once, leaned her over and tied her in position to get the bottom branches light. You could easily top yours several times and really create a lot of tops.

Day 17 Busy night last night couldn't update but they look absolutely beautiful today really bounced back easy from the lighting problem I was worried. I went ahead and gave them 50% light dose this go around Im sure they will soak it up nicely no problems.

Nice duudical yeah I love my humidifier its always on and keeps it a cherry 50% RH the girls love it! Temps for me are easy to control just keep my house about 68 degrees and the closet stays about 72-77 highest w/ lights on. Thats awesome I have really debated starting with a nice 600w to flower but I feel like if I make an investment I should just go for LED. Since I haven't actually purchased my LED yet im hoping some new cool LED's hit the floor otherwise Im going to pick up the Apache Tech 600 or the Advanced Diamond Series 800 watt. Trying to really get some intense LED light in the closet im looking for slightly better penetration then just getting by. So im hoping cramming a nice big LED in my flower room will pay off! Hard to not go inexpensive tried and true with the HPS but LED's are so well rounded I think cost is going to be worth it! Your PE looks great I was thinking about fimming mine and doing some LST still not too sure tho cause I wont have any clones to start till these girls get bigger. to cut off of! We shall see I cant wait!

Check it out duudical I have a journal going. Topping is really good and easy I usually top for four tops then spead those tops so the branches would create more tops. Tried fimming this time so I'll see how this does but my PE lady is looking awesome. She took the fimming very well and has bout four branches come out although I may not have fimmed her enough as it looks like she may still be growing out the top but can't really tell yet
