i kind of agree, to a point.. some times you could be the most loving parents, and still end up with an adolf hitler or jeffry dalhmer imo.. i don't really think that hitler's parents realized when raising him quite what he was going to turn into, that's for sure..

i do agree on the other hand, that usually, the apple doesn't fall very far from the tree..

believe me bro. I get it. I've got one I raised from a small child. A few years ago she decided to go live with her dad who is a real pos. His biggest contribution to date is that he was the sperm donor.

I have been watching her throw her life away, following in his footsteps.

Makes me sick.

not saying we are the best most attentive or doting parents either. But if you pay attention..kids aren't that hard to read.

If they had done a better job for the previous 18 years they wouldn't be in this situation.

they deserve what they get.

That might be a stretch, there are plenty of families with multiple children where most grow up just fine while another sibling from the same family turns out bad.
I think society plays a big role myself, many kids are very impressionable and there is no doubt that more and more people are feeling entitled nowadays.

They probably over indulged her through the years so I agree to some extent, perhaps they traded rewards for good grades and the little cow got greedy.
From what I've read she's an honour student in a private school so I assume she's quite bright academically and now thinks she smarter than everybody because of a few A's.
It's obvious she never seen a hard day in her life, kids like that feel a sense of entitlement, If she wanted to spend nights away from home at her boyfriends house and her parents disapproved then that's her tough, their house, their rules.
Seems nothing short of blackmail to me and I would really take it personally against the fuckwit dad of her friend whose paying her lawyers fees.

I believe in rewarding kids for grades. and making them work around the property or with anything I just want help with.

Like loading two cords of wood

they stopped complaining. I told em every time they bitch we'd go get another load lol.

Teaches em to work together too, as they can move 3x as much together as alone.

my one sister has totally given her kid every thing he could possibly ask for.. he was pretty much a smart ass from a very young age, pretty much since he could talk, he's been talking back to my sister.. well, wouldn't you have guessed it, he feels entitled to pretty much everything, but idk if it's just him as he was a smart ass from a young kid like i said, or the fact that everything in life has been handed to him on a sliver platter, but i'm leaning towards the latter..
