Flora Micro root stain

It seems every time I change the water in my DWC bubbler my nice white roots get stained by the color of the new water and they seem less vibrant (not as rigid). After a 2 or 3 days I start seeing new white roots and before the next water change everything is white again. I never notice anything slow down with the pant though...she seems healthy. Is all this normal?

I read your post ....I read your post ...etc etc ....???

If you live in an old house where the pipes are rusty, the rust may make the water rusty brown, and roots will absorb this rust or iron oxide particles to discolor them, and over time they should get more and more brown, could explain your situation, or if you take too long to get clean water they may go a shade brown as the roots dry out some say 10 -15 minutes at least, or if the water in your area is real shit, unlikely as it is winter and the water tank in the city are full..??? ...may options too choose, but if you say she's healthy good for you ...but stay sharp, as pythium would be difficult too see and detect!!!

My house is not new, but all plumbing was redone, it's a combination of PEX and copper pipes. I'm using city water, it measures at 150ppm, I add cal-mag to bring it up to 250ppm. I put aquashield every 4 days.

Thanks for your reply. I reflected a bit after reading your post and realized that the hot water tank has never been replaced and used to be hooked up to galvanized pipes. I was using hot water to get to 68 degrees when refilling my bucket(to avoid shocking the roots). After comparing my hot and cold water, I noticed that hot water has double the ppm of my cold water.
Cold = 110-120ppm
Hot = 225-250
I will have to get some spare buckets , use only cold water from now on and let water reach room temperature before using it.

What, you mean grow, bloom, and micro aren't naturally green, pink, and... dark?

Of course it's food coloring. Every single salt used in the ingredients is white except for the iron salts.
