Hey Man, that sucks, did you have issues with humidity? you wanna make sure that you dont accidentally smoke anything moldy, it's definitely not good for you.

hey you have 2 choices.
1 toss that fucker
2 burn it in a camp fire
dont smoke it or you will be in hospital. to much moisture on buds. did you spray them? it takes like 65% or higher humidity with no air movement to do that. fans fans fans is all i can say for your next grow. know you RH and keep it close to 50% and you are good with air movement. never spray your buds. when a flower start no more misting.
ouch sorry but toss all buds that are like that.

It was grown outdoors on a windy roof. under 11 hours of sun. it looks like the insides only has it. only in 2 spots.. this plant grew very small and tight as the bud is dense. i will cut it down right now and see if i can salvage the outside of it.

Interesting question.
I suppose that would depend on if the mold spores are smaller than the THC trichromes.
I do not know the answer to that, but would be nice to know it.

I think it got that mold from the tropical morning dew that occurs here every morning. Must build a greenhouse so it won't happen again. I recently cut a purple paralysis and a lemon kush just a week prior, noticed inside like near the stem there is some white fuzz. Nothing too big. I already dried it. If it was mold would it not have spread quickly?

That'sbotrytis. It's the same stuff that grows on grapes for wine making. It's black mold that's found in curing jars that is really bad for you, not this.

You can cut away the damaged bud and make oil with the rest, it doesn't spread once the bud is dry. I smoked my last crop that was affected with no problems but i wouldn't recommend it at all, although we inhale hundreds of spores everyday that our imune system fights off, but you don't want to test it (hypocrite )

The whole plant will likely have evidence of botrytis (hairs growing on the them inside the bud).

I saw someone mention in the NZ outdoor growing thread that they spray neem oil to keep the moisture away from the buds during rain storms.

I have seen people make wax or oil before with moldy buds but no where near as bad as yours. they had power mildew . your need to thrown out, total loss. mild can kill or get your very sick. or do nothing at all. it depends on the person smoking it and the kind of mold. TOSS IT OUT !
