I'm going to be making a road trip, from Albuquerque, up through the Springs, across either Nevada or up to Utah. The route kinda' depends on the response to this thread.

A few people are always saying "I'd smoke with..." Well, if you put my name on that list, and are between the Springs and southern Oregon, hit me up. Lets make plans to burn a couple bowls before I get on my way again.

The route, as it stands:

Albuquerque, Taos, Walsenburg, Pueblo, Colorado Springs, Denver, I-70 to the western slope. Then, either west or northwest.

I'll leave tomorrow or Friday, and will throw some pics up if I remember.

I'm on a VERY limited budget, but, I'd like to meet a few like-minded individuals, as I traverse the west in hopes of employment.

I agree with your friends. LoL. Arizona and Nevada aren't much nicer. My car is legal, DOT, it's quiet, inconspicuous, and I don't speed... And, the flat-lander plates help in my being ignored. ;-)

I really want to avoid Utah. Lets see if all those dandies from the San Fransisco area wanna' blaze!

Yeah according to my brother and step brother the cops pulled them over just because they could and the first thing they said was, "we smell weed, outta the car". Apparently alot of my buddie's who follow Phish around say the same thing.

Good luck man, I'd burn one with ya if I wasn't a million miles away.

So, where are we meeting? Since you aren't a million miles away (tops would be like 24,900.99 miles, and then I'd just turn around and be like "what's up, dude? You gonna' pass that shit, or camp all day?")

From Denver take 25 North through Wyoming. 189/191 to the Tetons, Yellowstone. Into Montana and find your way through Idaho to Oregon. I promise you will not regret the scenery and greatly reduce your chances of encounters with the law.

edit:except I just remembered what time of year it is. Yellowstone is closed. Just make your way from Casper to Jackson Hole, take hwy 22 over Teton pass into Idaho. Then you can head north to Montana. And while in JH I promise you will find some folks to toke with!

I've done that route 8 times and it is beautiful, but he's going to Southern OR, another 6 hours South from PDX. Mileage is a consideration, no?

Do you dab? Sounds like you're going through me. Taking 84 to 160 at all? I can meet you and dab you out with the Plants I just harvested and made hash with. I do work though. What time?

This is true. But you know as well as I do the extra miles are well worth it!

edit: Clayton you going to make Grand Targhee Bluegrass fest this August by any chance?

the only cheap way i know to bypass utah is as follows:

25N to cheyenne, hop on the 80E through wyoming. once you pass little america (you'll see signs for hundreds of miles) take the exit for the 30 to kemmerer and follow the signs for pocatello. once there, you take the 15 to the 86 to the 84 and that will land you in oregon.

the only problem is getting to southern OR from there since the 84 leads to north oregon and portland.

I love the route, and used to take it when I lived in northern New Mexico and worked at the hospitals in the PWN. But, the weather... And, I'm hoping to meet up with a couple people specifically. I figured, if I'm already going to try to time my trip to meet up with a couple people, so I figure I'll time it to meet with more!

It IS a beautiful route, but through the southwest, hit the dam, behave through Nevada (just have to dip a bit to dodge Utah.) Don't stop in Barstow ... No, that's Bat Country.

I do indeed dab, not just dabbling in dabs! Depending on where 84 and 160 lead, odds are they could easily find their way to my route! I should actually be coming through this weekend. We're circling the wagons now, figuring out the fuel to get me to the Springs, so I can gather my few gatherings up there, and head west! If I miss you on the way out, though -- I gotta' be in Denver on 4/20 for my wedding!!! (Speaking of which, any members here happen to be ministers, and plan on going to the Canna Cup?)

The wind's gonna' be kickin' ass most of that drive, and I'll drive through twilight... (Isn't that the route that'll take me through a couple passes that don't see full sunlight again until May?)

That house, that piques my interest -- we're going to be starting at 0 again, though. So, it'll be at least a month.
Careful you donmt end up, up in smoke:blsmoke:
I keep an eye on the coolant level! Recent brakes (22,000 on 'em,) 16,000 on the tires (they're like 5 months old. Ridiculous...) I plan on being mobile smoke, not going up in it!

80 across southern Wy. sucks! Graduated High School in Rock Springs. And you can make Pocatello via the Teton Pass and hwy 22 out of Jackson Hole.
