Transplant time?

Roots are poking out of all the bottom holes and the canopy is bigger than the pot... Should I transplant or let the roots fill up more space?

It depends on your goals for the grow, but if you're going to do it, I'd say better sooner than later.

Make sure they are dried out when you transplant, makes getting them out of the pot easier and sets up the next watering to take place in the new pot.

I'd do it now. What size pot are you putting it into?
I'm putting them into 5 gal 12 inch pots. My soil mix is going to be:
1 part fox farm ocean Forrest
1 part roots organic potting soil
1 part Eco coco coir
Maybe a little bit of vermiculite

I transplant the day after watering so it slips right out and doesn't damage the roots

dried before transplant???...i always water hard right before the transplant, the whole dirt/root structure slips right out, but then again my roots are always aggressive enough to hold the dirt together. different tokes for different folks i guess.

For me, when its dry the rootball comes out in one easy pull and in one piece. Some of the few I have tried wet it seemed much harder to get the whole plant out in one easy pull and for a few I have seen even rip in half because of a suction effect of the especially wet bottom of the pot. You're right though, there's a lot more ways than one to pretty much everything in growing..

ok, this is my transplant technique and hasnt failed me yet, not one plant lost.
5 gallon bucket tap water ph 6.0 - 6.5 , 20ml Veg Nute or Low dose of your Veg Base Nute. and also Bud Karma from botanicare. because it helps with root growth and plant stress. i water the bucket of dirt im about to put the plant in make sure theres plenty of run off, water the plant to soak the dirt. squeeze the edges of the pot to loosen it up and it should slide right out just by tipping it slightly sideways. then right into the pot, backfill and water a little more to make sure all the dirt in the pot is saturated. ive never lost a plant to this method. and hardly ever see any drooping. which means very little stress has been put on the plant during this transition.
