Nice grow! Lemme know when you start hour dwc...
well i say keep doing what you are doing till you have enough to last you. then start the 9 dwc trees. they should take 4 months so you can veg 2 and flower 2. then you will have some vn trees.Yeah man you sound spot on with how ya want to do it and, dayuuuuummmmmm 15 your ganna have some trees haha
I hope to have some trees in the dwc next round but am do torn between
No veg time sea of green in 2 4x8 flood tables or
The 9 dwc big girls....
I have 3 weeks to figure it out.
Also DCobeen/Doubletake, keep in mind how much hard back breaking work DWC bucket maintenance really is, if you are trying to run 9 DWC solo buckets, changing and cleaning those buckets weekly is going to be a BITCH(not to mention you'll need to refill the buckets with water twice or three times a week during flower, the girls guzzle in DWC). Work smarter not harder you know. Use a flood table with a SOG of nice 7-8 inch hardly clones, 1 plant per square foot. Exactly what Albfuct does and many others. It's going to give you giant yields with very little downtime between harvests.well i say keep doing what you are doing till you have enough to last you. then start the 9 dwc trees. they should take 4 months so you can veg 2 and flower 2. then you will have some vn trees.
Im gonna check them out. tyAlso DCobeen/Doubletake, keep in mind how much hard back breaking work DWC bucket maintenance really is, if you are trying to run 9 DWC solo buckets, changing and cleaning those buckets weekly is going to be a BITCH(not to mention you'll need to refill the buckets with water twice or three times a week during flower, the girls guzzle in DWC). Pot size is everything. Next time I run soil I'm just going to invest in airpots once and for all since they last forever.I'm noticing that the size of pot makes a diff. I might even make a custom pot out of fiberglass. i want too make deeper pots for auto's and wider ones for scrogs. I have a few months to design and make what i want.
im gonna do this i think. http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-Big-Boy-Hydroponic-System add a water chiller to chill the res i will need a 4x6 tent. then i can keep my closet going on AIS and do 1 huge scrog in there. that is down the road have to first get the 3 plants plus c99 and 4 clones done and see how much cash i have. When you go DWC just link all of your buckets at the base with pvc, run them in a nice circuit and put an extra-empty bucket at the end that has a good 300gph+ pump that'll return the flow to the first plant bucket. Do that and run a great clean line like H&G or Canna and you're golden. Only thing you will do wrong is veg too long (2 months lmao!!) because the growth in dwc is unparalleled and hard to contain throughout the cycle. Going rDwc will also allow you to scrog.
Damn dude those ebb&flo have come way down in price. I still see myself grabbing the drill with the big ol' 2inch hole cutters and linking anywhere from 2-6 buckets depending on my space with a nice pump at the end to create an undercurrent. Either way, set it and forget it is what it's all about.im gonna do this i think. http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-Big-Boy-Hydroponic-System add a water chiller to chill the res i will need a 4x6 tent. then i can keep my closet going on AIS and do 1 huge scrog in there. that is down the road have to first get the 3 plants plus c99 and 4 clones done and see how much cash i have.
Yeah that's what i was thinking changing each bucket would be a bitch but I had 1 plant going and it was too hard mabey like a 15 minute process but still over 9 plants that does add up and topping off each bucket. Will do I'm stuck between dwc or flood tables but thinking more about flood tables now.Nice grow! Lemme know when you start hour dwc...
They're actually 2 inch net pots...But I used a 1 7/8" hole saw, then used aquarium silicone to seal the net pots to the lid.Oh hell yeah cool iv seen a lot of DIY ones on here and just never thought of trying one, I guess I should give it a try.how did you cut the holes in a 1 inch circle for the net pots?
Did u see I got the ac hooked up brought the temps down and a few pics bottom of page 2
If you are gonna be running 9 ladies in DWC, then RDWC is the only way to go (as youknowthekid! said). But if you want the simplest way, then go with the flood tables. It all depends on SOG or SCROG. I personally like the growth of DWC and I like training so I would go with a RDWC SCROG setup. I have a few ideas for a RDWC that is floomed and waterfall aerated (eliminating air stones/pumps etc.), I just don't have the space or finances to do it yet. Will do I'm stuck between dwc or flood tables but thinking more about flood tables now.
Thanks very very much for your detailed commentNice grow.
Regarding DWC, I would personally never do more than a couple of individual DWC buckets (like I do with totes for moms). RDWC is the only way to go if you're running more than 2 - 3 plant sites. So incredibly easy...you're only dealing with the reservoir. Any changes made in the reservoir translate to all plants within minutes, if not seconds (e.g. adjust the rez Ph, depending on pump rate, you will know what Ph all plants are within seconds). Same goes for PPMs, temps, etc, etc. Using AN's concentrated Ph Up & Down, our entire 250 gallon, 24 plant system is Ph stable within 30 - 60 seconds (6000gph pump). With a float valve off our RO system, we can go days without checking (even though we usually still do). It's so nice to not wonder what this plant's Ph is or that plant's PPMs...they are all identical. People get spooked about hydro and they think it's more work. Setting things up certainly is, but I would argue all day long that once set up, it's much easier and much less work than soil. I scratch my head at drain to waste systems...waste being the key word. With DWC, ebb/floow, you get to recirculate the nutrients to your heart's content (of course, the occasional change, addition, dilution can always be good). Much kinder on the pocket book.
Just like an aquarium, the larger the volume of water, the less impact changes have on the whole system (good or bad). Stability is easily controlled through greater water volume. Conversely, a large plant sitting in a 5 gallon bucket can drink 2 gallons in 24 hrs, no problem...you can only imagine what happens to PPMs and Ph when this happens....don't think the plant is taking up 2 gallons worth of nutes too....PPMs can easily double and Ph can fall like crazy, then shock occurs.
