Donald Sterling Punishment

I think he should bring out a lawsuit and take over ownership of the NBA and then fire everyone.
If I was his heir I would be pissed.

These are the words of a man well over 80 years old. Hard to tell if he is still fully sane.

There will be a big ass law suit over this.

I think it's time we stopped this witch hunt every time someone says something racist.

You don't even have to say something racist, all you have to do is be white and imply something about black people and then you are hung.

I'll care about black people getting offended by something like this when people start understanding that racism goes both ways.

Bigotry can be found in the places one would least expect it to thrive.

Author Shirley Jackson, remembered most for horror tales such as The Lottery, understood this when she wrote the slyly brilliant story "After You My Dear Alphonse." The story's unnamed narrator is a middle-class, white housewife who considers herself an upstanding liberal in both actions and thoughts. She is delighted when her young son comes home with his new best friend - a black child named Boyd.

She immediately assumes Boyd must be poor and his family is in the neighborhood due to some government program or charity. She offers him a bundle of her son's old clothes to take home.

The child politely declines. It turns out he's not poor and his comfortably middle-class parents are perfectly capable of buying him everything he needs. Embarrassed, the narrator snaps at Boyd and angrily leaves the kitchen. The story ends with her son, who sees right through his mother, apologizing for her behavior as the two boys head back outside to play.

Some of the most left-leaning people are - in their hearts - no better than Shirley Jackson's character. They mean well by black people, but they see us as creatures to be pitied and protected rather than respected as equals. When a black person challenges that assumption, they snap and turn nasty.

I think its taken out of context somewhat.

It would seem she has a thing for black dudes, I think Sterling just doesn't like the fact his wife advertises that she needs the black mamba to get her off.

I don't think it's the fact theyre black, I think its the fact his wife likes black...

i'm cool with banning him from the NBA to protect their image and advertising dollars and the rest, a fine seems a bit excessive but that's their choice.

This isn't his first instance of this.

He had a run in involving Elgin Baylor and has been involved in lawsuits over discrimination in leasing properties as well.

He's a piece of shit and should know better. He's Jewish and has faced his own share of bigotry and hatred.

A white man's penis gets bigger if he's racist to black people? That really sucks. I bet that makes black people even more pissed at white people the opposite logic doesn't work when they rape virgins to cure AIDS.

Modern democratic policy towards blacks has done more to keep them from success than anything a fervent racist could have dreamed up.

"Here is enough free stuff to barely scrape by on. Should you try to better yourself, we'll take it away. "

Believe it or not, racist isn't a word anyone who knows me would think of when describing me.

My views as they are expressed here are greatly exaggerated by those who choose to disparage my character.
I'm well aware of your views. I have been here longer than most who think you are a low life dirt bag.

Don't try to play me for a fool.

There is a huge double standard in the USA about saying racist remarks...other races are the targets of white people so they are oppressed and they can say shit about our race because "the white man keeps him down"...but God forbid if we even say colored people, or you guys.

We can't go in there all straight-eyed...he'll know something's up.
