Ethanol, your trying to make changes to the winning recipe already? Don't be cheap, use whats recommended before substituting substandard solvents. It would be the best isopropyl extract you've ever made, but I wouldn't put my name on that shit. Thanks qwizoking,
Appreciate the run-down.
Is it safe to say that i can stick to iso @ 99%, while following safe procedures, and evaporate on glass? Seems the safe and reasonable option for a home hobbyist like me. Again: always being safe considering the danger of flammable vapours.
I'ld love ethanol!Ethanol, your trying to make changes to the winning recipe already? Don't be cheap, use whats recommended before substituting substandard solvents. It would be the best isopropyl extract you've ever made, but I wouldn't put my name on that shit.
Yes you can, even in jail they got ethanol. ebay ships virtually anywhere. If you can't get food grade, then just get the denatured stuff, but the big separation is w denatured vs food grade. Moonshine is the best.I'ld love ethanol!
I cant' get it here bro.
When you follow instructions and try this for yourself, you would easily be shown I know my shit.Lol you wouldn't put your name on it?
Sorry that just cracked me up..
I'd love to try your awesome hash one day, maybe a pic will suffice?
Hey weren't you the guy who posted the Apeks unit on a thread that was a cure for Eden or Apeks high prices? Fact is most are still to cheap to invest $500 for a professional subcritical extractor? Why not try what I posted, and then post results and compare it to apeks units extraction. I know you got a tank of co2, whotf doesn't? Simply said, anyone who tries it wouldn't be talking out their ass."Hey brother, got a light?"
Or you can show us the pictures. Practice what you preach. When you follow instructions and try this for yourself, you would easily be shown I know my shit.
Bro no hate, I wish I had that unit just for the touch screen, my understanding of the subject put to use, I would obtain sick ass product. I'm waiting on SFBay dude to come down for the demonstration of my unit, so I will make a video for sure. Everything is lining up and thanks again for the inspiration. getting my ass back in focus, thanks R&R. May you be so kind and repost them? I would love to see the product, and also know the parameters set, unless thats proprietary information, haha.yes, I did show off the pretty machine I run at work. I also posted some finished product pics as well. something you cant seem to provide
sry man you sound very passionate about the subject but you also sound like you need to put the bong down for a few, no offence
Not at all, I don't think your lying. I just would like pictures? If someone of a car forum said he painted his 69 Firebird jet black with beautiful pearl white stripes, a blower that you could hear a mile away. You wouldn't want to see pics of it? I would think you would because I would. I'm not bashing, just would like to see. I am in SJ in Cali, that is less than 45 mins away from SF. Not to far from CL person you speak of. But anyways that's my point. If you don't want to post pics that's fine, it's up to you.You act like I'm known for lying. Ive been down this road before and don't got to show pictures due to the circumstances I'm up against. Right now, I'm waiting on someone from SFBay area to show up, but a fucking shit load of things are not going as planned , so are out of my hands. Truth is many people contacted me from the forums I post from. This one come from cl and is unknown his eta. Pictures don't boast top note either. So if you don't believe me, try the simple methods even you can follow and not fuck it up. It's a known recipe that always works.
Not because it's cold, but because liquid co2 is non-polar. Since the supercritical temperature is 88F, beyond that up in the 212F areas, the scf is very non-polar like hexane, but not quite like acetone. The scf just rips through matrices almost like heat rises, this works w gravity, downwards. High pressure air doesn't achieve the same selectivity nor is it a liquid and 20lbs of co2 does have influence more than hpa. Im not saying it won't work, but air as a liquid is nitrogen, which is a noble gas that follows Ideal gas laws. Other states is just compressed. Now when liquid co2 has a release in pressure, that liquid turns into solid co2 (dry ice) in the tank and pushes outward. Ethanol is prime co solvent for many reasons. Taste preservation, the fact it's polar solvent helps co2 focus in areas it normally neglects, to add to it's mass, assist w viscosity, and targeting is what co2 is notorious for. I have a feeling you guys, whoever decides to try this, will prefer a can of tane, but go all out and use Ronson or Bernzomatic to do the work, but it doesn't yield as much as ethanol. Its just prettier, but ethanol is so much more a universal favorite, it gets noticed everywhere. Like a blonde chick who's beautiful w green eyes, blah blah- or the one friends really hit on is the exotic black one, who's by chance way more freaky deeky, and is pleasantly sweeter. Thats about the only comparison I can give it.I am curious of the CO2 method. What exactly is doing the extraction, the fact that pressurized CO2 is very cold or is it the pressure itself and CO2 is just the preferred gas vs. compressed air?
I know there must be much hidden information in regards to pressurized marijuana. Our state drew up a bill regarding mj in a gaseous form. That appeared to have the most restrictions on allowable quantity.
Just off the top of my head, I can't help but to think that the extract is removed with pressurized gas, kept in a pressurized state, pumped into little inhaler bottles, and potentially pharmaceuticals will be using them. Just the first thing that came to mind when I read the draft of the bill.
The 300 series is medical grade, 303, 304LVN,316L are great, can handle cryogenic temperatures and extreme heat. The L means lower carbon content, V is vanadium, N is nickel. The 400 series is magnetic, I don't use them. That's pretty much w what I prefer 300 because it's non-magnetic and dependable.i find your stuff very interesting and 'follow' what i can. I'd probably have to read a bunch of stuff on gasses, boyle's law, etc to refresh and expand my knowledge base.
I have noticed you receive hostility from some quarters here. I don't find that to be very sensible . I am not here to measure mine against anyones but to learn and have a bit of fun. i fail to understand the 'attitudes' you've received. seems foolish.
Last winter i took leftover shake and ran it through stainless steel and made bho. not anymore. i really think you are onto something. I wish i had notes. when i sourced the stainless, i found out that there are a variety of grades. I believe this has to do with certain metals, perhaps lead, being present in stainless. i understand this is why cities moved off galvanized steel to plastics/iron. I think it would be most helpful to share your knowledge of stainless grades that would be appropriate. i had no problem getting it welded and have two tubes mothballed now. I'm saving shake for down the line.
I, for one, would encourage you to forge ahead and hope to see some interesting stuff to learn and apply.
good luck and thank you for sharing this
i hope to see more
Oilmkr i don't think you are lying just overestimating your product. Its very easy to do. I just think that if it was REALLY the best around you wouldnt always be waiting on material...your in norcal bro of it was all that people would be throwing matetial at you. And no pictures doesnt help.
