Eliminate odors in your grow room

I was recently using a product made by Gonzo. It's a mesh bag that contains a mineral called Zeolite in it.
I thought it was working, but my plants are getting bigger and I still smelled odor.
So I went shopping today and came across this. I put it in the room a couple of hours ago. I just went in the basement and I smell nothing, no pot smell what so ever.
What it is a solid paste-gel made of polyethers, emulsifiers, activated charcoal and hygroscopic and detoxifying agents. This product is non-toxic, bidegradeable and 100% enviromentally safe.
I paid $5.00 for it.

I bought it at a local hardware store. I looked it up when I got home and they sell them practically everywhere.
You can get them even cheaper on-line.

i use a similar product and it works great for me...i go through about one a month...i have three 2 foot tall plants in a 20sf growroom. i think they work great as long as you don't have a large set up. I just put it infront of the fan....

The guy at the hardware store said it should last 30-60 days depending on how dry the room is.
Basically when the sponge inside the container dries up as hard as a rock it's time to get a new one.
But hey, I figure $5 a month is'nt too bad. It beats the hell out of adding a carbon filter to my exhaust blower. I was never keen on the idea of adding a carbon filter to my exhaust blower because it would restrict the amount of air flow leaving the room.

I know odor issues have to be a problem for everyone who is growing indoors. I'm glad I found this product, and I'll keep everyone posted on how well & long it lasts. :mrgreen:

I have seen these before but I never though about using it for my setup... and my carbon filter just stopped working so I'm headed to the 24hour supermarket! WOOT

I'm not sure how well it would work if it was used in a large growing area. I think it would work more efficiently for small grow rooms, cabinets, and boxes due to the very limited space available.
I know in my grow box, If I was to go with a carbon scrubber I would have to get something that would be an exact fit length wise.
Plus my exhaust blower is only rated at 265 cfm, I'm afraid if I add a carbon scrubber to it, it would restrict air flow and lower my 265 cfm to something like 175 cfm.
Also my exhaust blower in my grow room acts as a fresh air blower for my vegging cabinet. I don't want to restict air flow for my vegging cabinet.

But that's a good idea for someone who wants to build their own carbon scrubber. :mrgreen:

I told a friend about it who was complaining about the smell from his closet- his two plants are in veg but he says they were stinking it up. He bought some and said he's really impressed with how it gets rid of the smell and changes the odor of the room to something fresh, not like MJ.
