Prostitution - Good or Bad?

Prostitution has been around since before that carpenters son was around. Do you think that it is healthy for women to sell their bodies? Game of Thrones tells me that it is!

Do you think if prostitution was legal throughout the US that rapes would go down? Being that if it was legal women would be checked on a regular basis or whatever (nevada has this down).

I know a few of you out there frequent the hooks so let me know how the experience was.

To prevent a person from owning their own body is the real crime. Exchanges between consensual parties are the business of the participants. not the business of the nonparticipants.

Great, another prostitution/rape thread...sick.

Rape involves a nonconsensual act. Prostitution can involve a consensual act. They can be and often are two distinct acts performed using the same set of erm "tools".

In other words to rape somebody is to steal from them. To make a consensual arrangement for touchy squeezy with a Prostitute is not theft.

Put shinier stuff on your hook and slow your trolling motor down a bit.

When did I ever say they were the same?

So, if i rape a girl, if i throw 50 bucks at her when I'm done, does that make it ok?

If you rape a prostitute, is it theft then?

This is an actual thread, if you don't have anything to contribute please google something instead.

Some people think it is an atrocious thing, but for some girls they would enjoy this kind of work. (based on something a friend of mine has told me, she picks her clients though.)

I think if the person selling the service should be in charge of the whole thing, and protections should be given to both parties. Drugs don't necessarily need to be involved but I can see non harmful ones like marijuana being completely spiritual during this whole ordeal.

One does not "own themselves" rather, they are not property at all.

"Marriage is for women the commonest mode of livelihood, and the total amount of undesired sex endured by women is probably greater in marriage than in prostitution." ~Bertrand Russell

When you look at it from a logical perspective, and all the men simply have to agree...

ALL men pay for sex, just some of us have an exclusivity agreement with one woman ;)

I'd suck a cock for a few hundred dollars.

I know a guy who is an actor in gay porn. Most male gay porn actors are straight in their real life

Witty, Harrekin, but false. You're assuming ALL of us (women) use sex as some sort of bargaining chip then?
