Organigram mmpr

Hi all

I see there is a new mmpr producer on the list.

I believe someone had mentioned this company a little while ago as well.

After browsing their site, I noticed they had the option of transferring your current mmpr script to them.

I thought this was rather interesting.

Anyone have any ideas on the implications of this?

Another one that won't mention the price. It's amazing to me to think how much money has gone into branding....money grab at every single turn. I don't know how much I like them telling me what strain is going to give me relief for my ails. And why wouldn't the most potent be for chronic pain...or appetitive stimulation.....or stress relief.....really??

I 100% agree. Although still in the early stages of the application process, our proposed small-scale LP would like to address these well-founded concerns......I'm sure many of the other smaller LP's will as well. We are not concerned about branding, only about being as cost-effective as possible to keep prices as low as possible for the patients, and about about being as transparent as possible for the patients. For example, we will be listing our sale prices as far advance as possible, as well as exactly how the plant is being grown, what it is fed, how it is harvested, drying/trimming/curing practices, and listing the actual strains and breeders of origin.....NOT by giving fancy new names to strains, jacking up the prices, and leaving the patient wondering what the heck it is that they are paying for/consuming. We know that the vast majority of medical patients are already very well informed and many have growing experience of their own. Many will already know which strains are effective for them, and which ones they prefer.....they don't need their LP telling them which renamed mystery strain they should buy.

The switching option on the Organigram site is more than likely to switch an MMAR to MMPR license. We will find a way to switch LPs soon.

I applied to work for OrganiGram. I called to check in on my resume and Rachael, who is the client service manager was super nice and helpful. You need to remember that this system is new, the producers are limited to what they can do/produce. I also don't think that switching the names over is a bad thing. OrganiGram just labeled them according to which ailments they work for. They want it to be more professional, which isn't a bad thing.
This new system makes it easier to obtain a license so i can only imagine the number of MM patients will rise. Older people who have 0% experience with marijuana are probably going to buy a strain labeled as an effective medicine for chronic pain as opposed to a strain labeled Super Sour Cherry OG because that name means absolutely nothing to them. After speaking with them it seems like they have it together and are very organized. I would say they're worth a shot.

How do you figure the new system makes it easier to get meds now. You still need a doctor to sign something. And in the case of this new " oh this patient belongs to us attitude amongst LP's " system, you may need to get the Doctor to sign more than once.
Fuck-off it's easier. Doctors don't want to play the who's the best LP game. Once patients start requesting their doctor to sign more forms because they want to switch, you see how happy doctors are with the new setup. Thereby more of them wanting nothing to do with it IMO
The doctor was the only hard part ever. Ya still need a doctor. So how's that any easier.
You really mean you hope more people get in to boost your sales.
Don't spend/invest all your money on your LP dreams. You may get a rude awakening.
You see there's a whole bunch of folks hoping you fail and will not purchase from LP's to prove it.

its easier because your doctor writes it like a prescription basically. they just sign a form saying you have something that can be treated ,if you actually read one of the forms. I know a few people that were licensed under MMAR and it was pages upon pages of paper work, they both had to have recommendations from a doctor and specialist and they as well had to fill out quite a form, Maybe its different in other cases but thats how it was for them. Doctors are more likely to write a script for a health canada approved LP with product that is tested for potency, contaminants, mold and dissolved salts than to write a fucking novel so somebody can access weed that is probably going to be purchased through the black market or grown in a setting where testing can't occur, which may worsen what ever is wrong with them.

Sorry nsbudca but your wrong-o.
There was more pages yes, but any idiot could do those. Name and address type stuff. Easy as far as forms go.

And your biggest wrong-o.

The doctor only had to sign and put their med license and address.
4 Lines to fill in......NOT PAGES as you stated. The paper work was easy.

Obtaining a doctor Signature was not. Yes you may have a point on the specialist thing. But that doesn't change the fact that some doctor has to sign. And I can't believe doctors care more now under the new system. Why would they. If they are for it ( MMJ ) they are....If a Doctor isn't for it...he won't be.

SAME SIGNATURE...but only once as the doctor doesn't care shit where you buy. You really think doctors want to play the signing game when people want to shop elsewhere.....Don't think so. If you take that signature and shop all the LP's that would be different. But you need a signature for every LP.....jeeez

Now depending on if you need to change LP's ...you need to re visit your doctor. Before one Signature was all the Doc needed to do....do you see now.

Same signature..but possibly more times.

Fair enough. I can't believe there are doctors like that though. My buddies doctor recommended it and took the steps to even print off the paper work for him, still had to go through the *whole process though. My brother had to ask about it, but the doctor said as long as it worked for him he was for it. My opinion may be different from yours where the doctors here are clearly much more open to it. Scotia does have the third highest rate of licenses in Canada.

If you are going to switch the name of Simon`s AK47 get ready to be called a thief. Create something if you want to name something. You think that McIn

There is not testing for dissolved salts. You will always find unflushed bud in the new MMPR world. Is it a black or white ash? That is the test and will be done by the consumer if they know what to look for.

Yes I think doctors will be annoyed filling out the same form (new one) as these LP's get the boot by the patient. I believe the patient should be able to buy from multiple sources.
Relationships may go sour with a particular LP and a person may want to shop, essentially. Why shouldn't they. After all you can visit different drug stores for better service. But this new system forces you into one provider only.
So therefore as Doctors are seeing the same folks only to re-sign for you, they may get pissed off by that. Many doctors are way to busy to annoy them with a patients weed purchasing issues/troubles.
See my point
This new setup is WORSE than it was.
Some doctors will ask for more fee's as well. Some folks have paid huge just to see a signing doctor just once,,,,never mind needing a new sig so you can switch to a new LP.
I don't think many Docs will be ok with that IMO.

Just try getting your doctor to play " musical LP's "

Health Canada has to smarten up and make changing between LPs instant and not the responsibility of the patient or the doctor. Otherwise the patients are the ones who will suffer.
Health Canada has always been very clear as to how they view patients....they are an inconvenience and a court ordered burden.
HC does not care about the patient.
It is a very clear, uncompromising attitude that is firmly entrenched in their mentality.
That attitude will not change. The only thing they "do" for patients is at the insistence of the courts.
Read how HC responds when they approach the affordability issue for patients....in a nut shell they say too bad if the patient can't afford it, go back to your doctor and get pills instead. They told the court it isn't their responsibility to provide affordable medical marijuana for patients.

Hey everyone,

I'm Product Manager for OrganiGram and saw this discussion and thought I'd pop in to let you all know that we will have more news out soon with strains and prices, among other things. We will also have plenty of pictures of our facilities and setup so nobody is left in the dark.

We currently aim to have 15 strains in 5 categories, depending on what you are looking for e.g Anxiety, Increase in Appetite etc, but actual strain names will be available as well. Along with a selection of CBD strains, THC levels for our strains will vary overall from 3% (for those not looking for an intense buzz but medicinal effects) to about 25%. All our medicine is being grown organically. We have received a lot of feedback that we are paying attention to and would love to speak to more patients interested in receiving more information.

Feel free to email us at [email protected] or call 1-855-961-9420 toll-free. You can also follow us on Twitter or Facebook :)

Cheers
if I had to pay LP prices I would be left in the dark hell I would not even have a roof over my head, I have a wonderful grower who grows for me and ships it half way across the country all for $1.00 per gram oh and he grows what I want now that is compassion for the patient.

hi sid1337
First off welcome to the board
looks like its up to you, to try and be one of the first reputable lp's out there.
Its not really hard to see what the patients that post here want, a little reading in the patient forum will solidify
what type of things we are looking for in respect to our medicine.
Above all be transparent for your patients sake...
