What kind of nutes should you give to a plant that has a lot of yellowing on week 4 of flower? Flora Nova Grow and Nova Bloom, Calmg, Kool Bloom (liquid and powder), Big Bloom, Silica and Hyrdrozym are all available. Anyone know what to put in?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

They are yellowing because they need some nitrogen. I find mine do this if I don't give them a real good nitrogen boost before flower but you can give it to them now. Just add something that has high N in it along with your bloom nute but you'll have to adjust your measurements so you don't burn them. For example : normally you would feed 1 tsp bloom 1/2 tsp booster. Instead do 1/2 tsp grow 1/2 tsp bloom and your booster. Hope this helped

The above is good advice.

Bloom nutes are notoriously low in nitrogen. Flowering plants still need N. I have some strains that i ONLY feed grow all the way to harvest to keep em green. Bloom boosters don't make buds, healthy plants do.

So flora nova grow has a lot of nitrogen… Should I do 1/2 grow and 1/2 bloom and what's considered a booster?

Thanks a ton!

I use flora nova all the time. What did you give to them the last time you feed them. After I know then I can tell you what to use. Bloom booster are product that are additives to what you already give them in the blooming phase. I use s.o.p (soluable potash) it has a 0.0.50
I also use bloom blood it's 0.39.25. Hygrozyme is good all through the plants life till about week 4 .you won't need the cal mag if your using both of the flora nova grow and bloom it has all they need in it plus other micro nutrients. I have best result with these

Flora nova grow and bloom
Sop powder( potash)
Bloom blood
Hygrozyme
And molasses

Keeps it cheap for me and They love it.

Also I keep feeding them grow and bloom through the stretch phase of flowering cause they use up a lot of nitro stretching. Just slowly cut back on the grow while slowly adding the bloom. Give me a bit I will put my schedule up for you if it helps.

Thanks Maine! Last time flora nova grow 1/4, Flora Nova Bloom 3/4, Silica 1/8, Powder Kool Bloom (Light feeding),Calmg 1/4, and Fox Farm Big Bloom 1/2 lightest feed (Worm castings and bat guano)

I think they need a big shot of green next time… It's going to be mid week 4… What would you suggest to green them up?

Thank you so much for sharing all of that… Do you know what PH and EC you are using?

I don't ph I run coco coir. I started to ph in the beginning but it always came out under 6.7 and above 5.6 so I just stopped and have never had a problem as long as I use flora nova. I don't check EC or ppm. I keep it simple I listen to the plants if there was a ph problem they would tell me. Fish meal or bone meal release nitrogen pretty quickly but I would make a tea and give it a little everyday till you see good improvement. Don't want to use to much and have nitrogen release during the end of flower.

Future references worm casting and soybean meal also good nitro but take longer to work. I would suggest not to use the worm casting anymore as I said above they have a good longevity and you don't want to much at the end.

What type of guano?

With out having to buy anything I would drop the kool bloom the worm casting and the big bloom. Do 3/4 of flora grow and 1/2 bloom keep the cal mag if you want you don't really need it and add 1 tbs of black strap molasses.

Once they are green again you can go back to your regular schedule. Minus the worm castings

I think your a little confused not the Big Bloom… Here's what it is:
Big Bloom®
Natural & Organic Blossom Builder
( 0.01 - 0.3 - 0.7 )

Our special, micro-brewed formula incorporates earthworm castings, bat guano and other high test organic ingredients that offer a full range of nutrients. Norwegian kelp improves nutrient uptake and increases yields. Rock phosphate helps transfer energy from one part of the plant to another, which means bigger buds and more fragrant flowers.

Garden tip: Big Bloom® is ideal for all flowering and fruiting plants, and it’s safe enough to use every time you water. You’ll enjoy healthy, vigorous flowers and dramatically improved fruit and vegetable flavors.

Best of all, Big Bloom® will intensify flower fragrance, and it will increase essential oil production, which means stronger flavors in herbs, fruits, and vegetables. Use Big Bloom® to extend your fruit and flowering season late into the year. And when a plant is struggling, a root drench of Big Bloom® will help to perk things up.

For bumper crops and prize-winning blooms, try our Liquid Nutrient Trio Formulas for use in soil and hydroponic systems.

MSDS

The thing is about it is it calls for a TON of it… So it ends up being like 50% of the total notes in the water…

I'm curious as to what the max amount of EC i can add next time to really green these things up. I don't have molasses though… Is one of the products I have equivalent to this?

Thanks again man!

As far as I know molasses is supposed to just add the same sugars a bloom booster would. It helps put on bulk and frostyness from my own experience.

Although the company say it can be used through the bloom cycle I would just drop it for now and then if you want to add it back in. There aren't enough worm casting in it to make a difference in the end. I thought you were making a tea with the casting and the guano
