I've spent the best part of the last two hours reading about race and intelligence. What I've found is disturbing. The article will be discussing the disparity in intelligence ratings between blacks and all other races. They can't rule out environmental nor cultural variables. They don't know why. But when the genetic variable is mentioned they say it can't be this.

I'm left wondering why? If genetic variation is enough to so greatly effect our largest organ (skin), and make us susceptible to diseases based on race, to completely (and without explanation as to why) discount race as a possible influence on intelligence is obviously a political and not scientific exclusion.

I didn't link you to it, but I gave you the title of a book, the names of it's authors. Surely you can find it.

The book was based off of dozens of scientific peer reviewed studies.

So it's better.

You, just like The Bell Curve fail to factor in fully the effects of socioeconomic stratification. Nutrition, stress and home conditions.

There is a simple fact, proven and known, which destroys the racial basis for intelligence argument you are pushing. More than 98% of the genome is present among the indigenous inhabitants of every continent. Indeed, the phenotypic traits associated with intelligence are more abundant among some than others. However, if there were a racial basis for intelligence, then those traits would be absent completely from a so called inferior people.

Racism has been thoroughly debunked.

Genetic variation is not well enough understood to discount it.

Saying our genes are 98 percent the same isn't enough. We're over 90 percent the same as monkeys.

It doesn't take much to make a little difference.

We're not talking about monkeys (or apes which you clearly meant) we're talking about the human fucking genome.

I don't feel like explaining it to a complete (and I do mean thorough) layman. You're not even a proselyte. You know fuck all about genetics.

So the condensed version:

There are smart black people. There are even smart black people who have only Sub-Saharan ancestry. There are even geniuses among this demographic.

This is a fact.

This means that there CAN NOT BE a racial basis for intelligence.

i read a lot, watch documentaries, and 3-4 times a month i let myself fall into a web-hole, starting with a single query, and letting the links drag me where they will, until i simply cant stay awake, or i have to get ready for work, or both.
