I think he never should have worked for the thugs, but in the context of what he did by revealing the extent of how "watched" people are I think it's a good thing these things are being discussed. I'm not comfortable with a surveillance state and think it is a portent of worse things to come.

I'll confess I don't know much about what Snowden did or didn't do specifically though.
