just read this article nothing surprising really, but its just a reminder to me to get out of the US once I'm done with college. heres a link http://rt.com/usa/164816-american-police-militarization-war/ any way here is a highlight from the article
"The United States of America has become a war zone," he said. "There's violence in the workplace, there's violence in schools and there's violence in the streets. You are seeing police departments going to a semi-military format because of the threats we have to counteract. If driving a military vehicle is going to protect officers, then that's what I'm going to do."
It's amazing the lvl of BS that seems to be going on with cops in the US.

"The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. This new version is the past and no different past can ever have existed. In principle the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact." ~George Orwell

Orwellian indeed.

But honest citizens should be limited to flintlocks.
Don't think that opposition to gun rights is a "left wing thing". You may think leftist leanings coincide with authoritarianism but you would be wrong. I'm in disagreement with about 40% of Karl Marx's ideas but even he was against disarming citizens.

I watch alot of the amendment rights videos on youtube that are now surfacing more than ever..some of these videos piss me off so bad with that fact that 90% of the officers in the videos try to
1.Intimidate
2.Stereotype
3. Have no clue whatsoever of the law
and most famously they practically invent laws to charge you with on the spot..
99.7% of citizens dont even know this and fall victim to the system...
simple stuff as in having to present your id to an officer if he ask..you can refuse but the officer doesnt even know that himself..so what do you think happens next? easy..the bully in him comes out and tried his 100ways to get you to present it with threats and tyranny

6 leaf i do believe you are wrong there. Atleast in my state, when you are 18 and up you need to be able to identify with a state id or drivers license, especially when un a motorized vehicle. Im not defending it or the fascists who made it possible to get locked up meerily for not identifying... but it can happen.

yes I must agree that i might be wrong lol but I forgot to mention it applies to "just walking down the street" type of scenario...I understand the driving part and identifying...but just a john doe not being in the commision of a crime walking down the street SHOULDNT have to present i.d no matter what state..based on constitution ..and hopefully im right this time? lol

so its from Russia, big deal its probably just as accurate as US media and probably more reliable than Fox. but the point is, Americas police force is becoming increasingly militarized and it seems that more and more cops don't know shit about laws. I don't know if it's a new trend or just the increasing amount of mass communication available now (Internet, cell phones, Facebook ext.) but it seems more cops are ignorant and not held accountable for their actions. all in all it just makes me want to get out before it turns into the new North Korea.

Couldnt really speak to the walking down the street scenario as 18+ but i got stopped just walking down the street one night by the local cop. Asked me my name and what i was up to. Basically told him to get fucked as politely as possible and said i was not required to give him any informantion since i was a minor and in violation of no law.

He just wanted my name cus he had uet to catch me running from him at curfew and it was a small town lol

It is a bit complicated but essentially if a person in the US is asked to present their ID a few things must be true for the LEO's request to be lawful.

Some states use loop holes to pressure citizens to accept their authority.
