So I started these ladies indoors under a l.e.d. then moved them outside. The strains are 2x purple paro from mandala seeds, white Siberian from dina fem, semi auto grapefruit, the purps from BC bud depot and Iranian auto flower from doctor green thumb. I have them in 5 gallon smart pots filled with fox farm ocean forest. I had a problem early with something

Its to help prevent whatever was digging stay the fuck out lol. But yeah, I suppose it would have the added bonus of keeping out moisture. They all seem happy and that makes me happy. Hoping for a good harvest this year. I topped a purple widow and a purple paro to compare topped against not topped. I have a question for anybody that wants to answer. The purple widow isn't femenized so do balls show before or after flowers would? I think its a female but I'm not certain. I am gonna collect pollen either way through because it seems like awesome outdoor genetics.

I have balls on a couple of my seedlings. I am going to be harvesting 1 male plant of each strain so that I can keep the genetics around. I might even cross one short flowering strain with one of my longer flowering strains.

Nice, the only 2 things I ever wanted to cross is Krakatoa and shiatsu kush. Thinking that combo will be awesome

Well I have this Bahia Blackhead strain that I have heard can take up to 12 weeks to finish flowering and I have a Seawarp male so hopeful if I do use the Seawarp pollen on the BB I get some good, potent, shorter flowering seeds out of it.

Things look happy! I'd suggest you get a grow book. Jorge Cervantes does a good job of explaining things. I'm not a big fan of rocks in my soil. May I suggest getting some steel screen and cutting it to fit loosely around the stalk and fitting snugly inside the pot? If you intend to keep them in the five gallon pots, you might consider topping the soil off near the rim. Your plants will reward you. Youi'll need to check your plants dail for balls or white hairs. Once you know which is which, isolate the males from the girls. If you do polinate them, select a lower branch to pollinate. Done carefully, most of your buds will be sinsemilia.

Only 1 can possibly be male unless they Hermie, where do you get this steel screen? The rocks don't seem to be hurting anything but I'd rather they not be there as well. Still have the added bonus of trapping moisture lol

If not for your critter digging, I'd suggest filling the pot with half composted grass clippings. Holds moisture and helps keep the soil cool. If I ever figure out how to upload pics(my puter is dying a slow death) ,You'd see I mulch most things with grass clippings. I'm talking about window screen. Fairly easy to cut with wire cutters.

Ahh I thought you meant thin chicken wire or something like that lol. Idk about just a screen keeping whatever it was out BC it moved some of the rocks at some point. I'm guessing you have some experience so I have a ?. Is it feasible to shoot for 2oz dry from each plant dry in those 5 gal smart pots?

Need help asap from an experienced grower. Thinking my purple widow has balls. Is that what this is? Thought it was too early to show it sure looks like balls to me

So update time. They seem to be doing OK except for something has been nibbling holes in the leaves (ideas?) And for whatever reason the biggest has a yellow tint to the leaves. But we have had a ton of rain here lately, thinking that may be the cause. How do y'all think they are doing? May start feeding soon
