So watching the Trailer Park Boys on rerun, they fire of a toy train to the USA, and all end up in prison, states side, gleaming about how great it is in comparison to the Canadian system ...

I personally would rather stay ahead of the LEO's and have done all my life, except once or twice, but so far have had little to do with Canada or the USA correctional facilities, giving a choice, what would you prfer if you had to choose, the TPB went the USA way ...whats yours...?

pretty much this is a canadian min security "prison"

Unlike more restrictive facilities, minimum security prisons generally do not have fences or other secured perimeter structures.

Offenders live in rooms or dormitories rather than cells. Housing complexes in a minimum security prison consist of individual rooms, washrooms, a living room, a dining room and a kitchen. Each bedroom has a bed, a wardrobe, a desk and a TV.

According to the Correctional Services Canada website, inmates are responsible "for the cleanliness of their rooms" and that their bed is "made at all times when not in use."

Lol that is rediculous. Here the conditions are not quite as much fun.

Jail in Norway is better than a lot of hotels ive seen. I voluteered teacing english at one where prisoners had private showers tv and playstation in the room. Most were encourage to study though you could choose to work. If youre married you get a conugal every weekend too, like the whole weekend she can stay over and cook together and what not. At least the place i volunteered at. Suppose it will change from prison to prison but i can imkagine it being bad anywhere in any sense.
