I feel like im wasting my time, can you help me decide differently?

Thanks for having the interest to stop by and read this. This has been a very stressful year for me both personally and growing. Alot has went on the past few months that's gotten me pretty far behind as far as getting my plants out goes. I've got several out but not even 10 percent of my planned goal. Anyways to the point, i was out digging some holes tonight for my newly rooted clones and when i got to my tenth hole i kinda just stopped and had this feeling that im wasting time almost as if its too late to put anything out. I know its not probable to reap large yields per plant especially putting anything out this late, so that's when i turn to numbers. A large number of plants to make up for it, is that possible? Im a cash cropper, the economy is hell in my area. What if someone was to start a couple thousand plants from seed and get them out within the next two weeks? I know half or more will turn male so that would leave about a thousand females and if i could pull one ounce per id be a happy camper... Is this possible? Last year after i got my clones put out I wanted to do a little extra and dug a few trenches about ten feet long by two feet wide and put about 30 seedlings in each one. When the males were culled and the fems harvested i got right at a pound per trench but i can't remember what time of year i put them out. I hope this makes since cause my stress has consumed me and I've gotta figure out a way to pull some heavier weight please i need suggestions and as much help as possible. If i have to dig 1000 foot long trenches to hit my goals i will.

I say give it a shot at least you can say you tried. And I'm sure you will do just fine I put 4 seeds out Last year in 2 Gallon plastic pots in July I wanna say I was going for a late harvest and got a decent amount only issue I ran into I don't think I gave enough time to fully mature. But it was still good smoke.

If this is your only way to make money then do it up. or wait 10 months wondering what could have been. Do it especially if you have nothing else to do. better to try than just sit around. great exercise, and almost therapeutic if you ask me. I don't know with the way your stressing about it, but its more of a productive hobby for me. good luck.

Thanks guys for the inspiration. Your right the only way to find out is do it so i won't regret it. It will eat at me all winter long if I don't. Do you think an ounce per plant is probable?

A few thousand seedlings would be hard as hell to care for by yourself and if you're anywhere near me this rainy weather will take its toll on them. I'd focus on a lower number of plants and take very good care of them.. and in turn get more of a yield per plant. I'm not running anywhere near those numbers and taking care of mine are draining me.
And I'd dig separate holes for each seedling. A 10' x 2' trench is nowhere near enough for 30 seedlings. The plants need some room to stretch out.

Oh and I definitely wouldn't hesitate with putting more seedlings/plants out. What could it hurt? It could only help with your situation. What general area are you in?

Wv blazin im on the west side of Daniel boone national forest. We haven't got much rain at all this year. Last year we had wayyy too much and lost several pounds due to budrot, at least 15% of our product. One thing i do remember catching onto during trim and manicure were tiny little worms im guessing bud worms in lot of the buds. Never had that problem before. Im guessing the damage they caused and all the moisture in the air didnt mix well and caused outbreak of rot. I hope this year i can control them maybe with some bt. But then again im thinking all that rain brought em in since we never had probs before. I grew the nicest trees last year and having a late start this year kills me. Remember my ak 47's had stalks the size of two litres and was lstd since the day i put them outside, which was in march, toughing out the frost easily. They were started in January though and i pulled 19 oz's off of one plant that didn't even get full sunlight. Man if i had about 30 of those this year in wide open sunlight i could see 2lbs easily per plant. I miss it... Still have the genetics also to that strain it isn't pure ak it is crossed with something im not sure of. Anyways getting back at it tonight! Gotta do something to put food on the table and buy clothes for the family.

Btw how's those choppers treating you this year? Last year they were flying mad everyday, seen only very few this year.

That's what I like to hear. Never give up.. I actually just started a few extra plants about 2-3 weeks ago. I've lost a few seedling but the majority have toughed it out.

I've only seen a few this year so far but that'll change more than likely at the end of July through October. They have to have better ways to spend their DTF money... like combating the huge heroin problem. Dumbasses.

yea thats truth my county is leading the state in herion overdose its like number 3 in the state of ohio
