+ rep = that's a great read - thanks for taking the time, and by all means post pics on RIU.clones 001.jpgclones 002.jpg

I stumbled on to TGA four [ ? ] years ago because of 'tude freebies Chernobyl and Dairy Queen - all 4 fems - and that first chernobyl was the most radical strain I'd ever seen/smoked. Until then, I never knew who/what a subcool is/was.

I've been waiting to run Ace for a long time, but let myself get sidetracked into less rewarding adventures than the TGA strains I got into. AOS seems like a strain that didn't create a lot of noise when released, but built a big fan base after people began running it. I wasn't planning a flip on the clones for another week, but after a reservoir change, they've exploded [as well as the Blood Orange that's in w/ them] These pics are just 3 days after the ones posted above. They'll all get lollipopped, but I may have to split two of them to the room where Bodhis are finishing.

Herbie's is cool but over priced for TGA gear but they do have AOS in. I somewhat keep up with weed nerd and have not heard about AOS being discontinued?? I would like to know it got started? I seen Mrz. Jill talk about Agent orange being discontinued and it has been flying off of the shelf. Still, I may be misinformed. It happens to me often lol.

Thanks for directing me here Amos. I am currently running Ace of Spades, this is my first 'pheno hunt' but I will try to shed some light on the strain and perhaps the breeder. Prior to this run I've only grown out bag seed. With that said, they are confirmed Mr. Nice Guy (g13 x HP), SSH, and an OG. That may sound amateur but these are some beautiful plants I've been running for over 20 generations each, potent as shit, and all pretty unique from eachother. I figured the money was better spent on my setup vs genetics as long as I had dank in the garden.

I finally decided to get some genetics, AOS was among the few TGA strains that appealed to me, when I saw it available one night I pulled the trigger on a 5 pack, and a pick & mix querkle to up the price for some freebies. I am not a tga fanboy, I've never seen this weed nerd everyone speaks of, and in all honesty I bought these because none of the Bodhi strains I had my eye on were available (picked up lucky charms and goji the following week..). I know nothing other than subcool's super soil and a few other tutorials, which served as my introduction into the world of organics, and for that I am appreciative. Asshole/self-promoter or not, taking the time to show others an alternative to synthetics is a noble deed in my eyes, so I'll never regret supporting him by giving his genetics a run.

All 6 were germed and sprouted within 72 hours. They were all beautiful, and had great vigor. Vegged them untopped until they showed sex, 6/6 females, each about 12" tall, all pretty similar, some slightly bushier then others. Transplanted into 10 gal smart pots, consisting of my own amended soil mix, and switched to flower. Now about 3weeks-1 month in, I've got one just under 3' tall which is the bushiest (I assume to be the BCS leaner, smells fruity as well), 3 between 3'-4' that seem to be mixes of both parents, and 1 that is a 4' totem pole which I can only assume is a JTR leaner smelling piney as shit, feels like it stings the nostrils. All of them are nugging up like crazy, massive white hair production. I'm quite excited to see what the next few weeks bring for these girls. I have had no issues with these girls as far as deficiencies, but IMO thats organics.. Before flipping to flower, 2 clones were taken from each and all rooted without issues, this time all have been topped for further experimentation. The only weird thing I've observed, which may be normal for some strains/polys, are some 'mutant' leaves. I counted as many as 13 blades on a few leaves growing on top of eachother. I don't see that being a problem, just something to note.

All in all this strain has been a pleasure to grow thus far, all seem to be quite healthy, they clone with ease, and the variance between each plant has certainly kept my interest. I've taken pictures along the way so maybe ill make my first journal when they finish up.
My first seed order was mostly mr. nice... I had the G13/skunk that was awesome... You have had your G13/hp for a while then?

So! Happy Hours promo number three is in, and it's free shipping..Too bad that doesn't include the guarantee... Still, I feel it's better than the July Promo...5 fems, three of them Autos...yuck.

Might pop for a free shipping order and risk it with no guarantee...I dunno, might just get the guarantee...Might not even buy beans, since I'm broke. Still waiting for a shipping update on my Happy Hour #2 order....Just says "We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece"

Thanks wchales, good to know. Been thinking of running more classic strains to see how they compare to the modern polyhybrid explosion of today's market (not that it's necessarily bad).
Jack is a polyhybrid. Requires hunting. SSH is the same way, so is Mango Haze. It's been said that they lost the parents of the original Jack, so I'd look at Sannies more IBL if you wanted to try it personally.

Yeah, I've been thinking about it. I just don't like that for the fraud protection I might have to send them a copy of my credit card statement...I use a prepaid card for seed purchases, and they don't send me a statement?

Wait, Who are you sending this statement to? Because I've never heard of that, and I don't think seedsman would request such a thing. I've had zero problems with them.

If they change the UFO to a good single fem bean, order one pick and mix, pay no shipping, no guarantee, and get two beans for $10 - $20. I've gone 3 for 3 w/ no guarantee when there's a freebie I want. I'd get a Big Buddha Tahoe for 10.38 if they were not offering Barneys.

It's like a small town car lot over there, everything is out of stock. I'm going to pick up a couple different regulars and see what happens but besides that I don't see anything that really interests me. As for those free barneys, I'll let them keep them. It's like them saying, "Here, throw this away for me"

Gonna do something similar but switch the freebie to the regular TH Seeds option. I'm up at 7:00 anyway, may as well take advantage of the free shipping

Was thinking about doing something similar, but the "Lambo" by TH Seeds is the Regular first tier UFO freebie..Definitely not something I'm looking to run anytime soon(plus, I have 2 from my June promo order, and another 2 in the mail from last wednesdays order)...I'd almost rather have the Chronic Thunder from Barneys.

Yeah, this one doesn't look too good, might pass on it. Still waiting for the tracking on last Wednesdays HH promo order to update
