Kynes. No. The point is we have to deal with it. We are humans. And the backing is to do something. We have these multi-geneational govt structures to do something to try to preserve human DNA.
Some you would detest on the opposite side from you, the Gaia types agree with you.
They think we should do nothing, and sit here and die for the good of the Universe.
Strange bedfellows for you.
nope.
you mistake me, assuming my position is the same as the straweman created by bucklefuckle ginchy and pada.
my actual position:
MORE SCIENCE, less fearmongering.
carbon taxes, the war on coal, the war on civilization, the war on agriculture, the terrified squawking of the press and political classes, and the mindless jingoism of the eco-loons is counter-productive.
whenn SCIENCE has made a determination, without the political wrangling, the hooting and doomsaying of the chicken littles in the press, and without the attempts to defame every scienctist, research paper or study that comes to a different conclusion on the idiot left's name and shame blogs, THEN we can decide how to proceed, not before.
IPCC report 5 is characterized by backpedaling, reducing their doomsday predictions to vague warnings couched in careful language, and a general reduction in the "anthropogenicness" of the observed warming.
looks like science may be winning the PR war, so lets see.
i disagree with your assessment that "we should be cooling" since we are still on the warming slope of the milencovick cycle, the sun is still increasing it's radiation, and the next ice age hasnt begun cuz the last one isnt officially finished yet.
once the polar icecaps are FULLY MELTED, we should expect another 1-3 thousand years of generally warm temps, then the temps will start dropping for 20-30 thousand years till it hits rock bottom, and starts slowly warming again.
but thats based on the past 12 glacial cycles, and past performance doesnt always predict the future.
the claim that we "should be cooling" despite increasing solar radiation, the current position in the maunder precession, and the expectations based on the previous glacial cycles is unsupported.
