1. Your politically corrupted mind has you thinking protests are somehow a "lefty" thing, when never in history has that been true. It is always random people from different ethnic groups and social classes.

2. You are more than stupid, the cops ARE ready for war, but the people just need to be ready to hold court in the street. Which means they have to be able to hold their ground. And if you do it like the militias did at the bundy ranch, you lose the support of the media and any chance of making lasting change.

when has there been anything but dirty hippie toothpicks running from cops in protest in Americas streets in the last 20 years? besides the shit at the bundy ranch, which was like 50 people against 5 BLM cops.....

and how does acknowledging that the cops are ready for war make me even more stupid? hold court in the street?? hold ground until the tears gas, concussion grenades, and rubber bullets start flying, then people scatter?? rather have folks with me who are willing to go through it, not run from it, or have some kind of drum circle sit in bullshit... fuck your passive resistance pussy shit

How is watching a high school drum corps going to help in a standoff with police in riot gear and weapons? Christ you are either criminally naive or congenitally stupid

If your fighting trained police in riot gear.. I think it would help a lot more if you're strong and fearless. . And willing to take a beating...

1. Always. In the 60s "hippies" were usually college kids, like occupy, but they were mixed with the panthers. And college kids come in all shapes and sizes.

2. I didn't say you were stupid for acknowledging they were ready for war, I said that you are stupid for meeting their preparedness for war with more preparedness for war. That can only lead to war.

Lol, the video shows riot prevention techniques for times of Marshall law. If that can't help you with a wall of oppressive misplaced cops, you are helpless.

If you watch the video, it shows various ways people create things to block themselves from police pellets, and create structures to move the front line forward.

There are also psychological factors. I promise the police won't beat you if your show of strength is better than theirs, and you block their pellets. And if you have like 6 ladders.

so yeah, within the last 20 years, not much...

and you're an idealistic naive kid, which is just cute as can be, but shows you're not really rooted in reality....regardless of whether you want to recognize it, might makes right, and until the force of the cops/government is met with an overpowering force, and a new force of power takes over, the government will in fact remain as the enforcer....

If there was a riot where everyone knew that when they heard "show of strength" yelled, it meant they were supposed to stomp-stomp-clap the beat for "we will rock you", then they had cardboard and duct tape walls attached to ladders a used as sheilds and maybe some things like giant puppets, then when everyone heard "Defend" they knew they were supposed to go to the ladders and work together. No police force in the country could deal with that and look good on TV.

And as you call me naive, you probably have visions of men with guns strapped on their hip being polite to police, somehow changing the police instead of being changed themselves by their relationship with the police.
