Most likely a 3 to 4 year old.
But honestly I trust them the least. Big bears don't generally like being around people at all, much less a wooded neighborhood with some barky dogs. The "Teenagers" aren't smart enough to know to run yet.
We've had 3 maulings this year so far - sows with cubs, you shouldn't fuck with them.
 
Due to Grizzly Bear attacks the State Of California has issued a warning to hikers. Authorities are advising hikers to take precautions and are recommending that hikers carry pepper spray with them at all times. Authorities are also advising hikers to wear little bells on their shoes to prevent surprising bears.

Hikers can also raise awareness of their surroundings by being able to identify bear droppings.

Black bear droppings smells like poop and have berries in it.

Grizzly bear dropping smell like pepper and have little bells in it.

I was fishing on Kodiak island Ak, a few years ago. We took a float plane for a day trip, the pilot said make noise, lots of bears are in the area. My friend that I was with weighs about 100 pounds more than me, I said "only have to run faster than the person your with .."

The best bear defense firearm is a .22 - just pop your fishing partner in the knee & you're free & clear. :wink:
 
I wish I cold afford to go big game hunting...I really like killing things, or I mean the great outdoors, especially things that can kill me back, I have a soft spot for natural adrenaline.
 
We had a pretty good soaking rain on Saturday evening and I woke to this on Sunday morning as I was loading stuff in my truck.

He was checking to see if I left any goodies in the bed. :-?

It's getting close to the best part of the year.
3 weeks till early goose opener and I'll be heading into Wisconsin for early teal on the 1st also!
Wish I was heading out west to go elk hunting .. used to head out end of August ...

Less than that for me. Just cleaned my Benelli an hour ago. Wish I had the money to splurge on a bunch of decoys or such. Might have to sell something...

Yes and no, early in the season for sure! Younger tasty bird's are quite dumb. I have become a big fan of jerk cords in a decoy spread .....
