One person I know that grows big! said switch the light to 18 / 6 for flower and I have all ways been told 12 / 12 .. your thoughts?
 
I may have misunderstood, we were enjoying Blue dream at the time... LOL. I switched to 12/12 on Oct. first...... 8 weeks of veg and one is a New york OG and the other is a cheese. Going to be monsters!
 
I just learned this bit of information yesterday...If it is an autoflower then you keep at 18/6 the entire time until harvest. This seems counter intuitive but this is what I was told...for clones and normal seeds you will maintain at 18 hrs on and 6 off during vegetation then switch to 12/12 for flowering. Basically, the rule of green thumb is 2 months veg and 2 months bloom. Cheers!

autos don't need 12/12 to flower, my bad. u can do any light schedule I do 12 12 for no reason really. mabe save a few $ on elect.

An autoflower will flower irregardless of the light period.
 
My thoughts are that you have most likely misunderstood. Because no way your friend can be that much of a fucking retard, if he does indeed grow.
 
Yup, I was stoned! 18/ 6 veg...... 12/12 flower...unless I want to veg forever.... LOL...... not real sure about the exact strain because the guy I got it from said it is "American cheese" I hadn't heard of just that one.
