In all seriousness though...my first "emotional" thought is STOP ALL FLIGHTS FROM WEST AFRICA!!
BUT... if the rest of the world doesn't do the same it would be pointless..and then we would look like the arrogant fucks that we are...and if we don't stop the problem at the source (as with the terrorists) we WILL pay for it later...not if but WHEN....just something to chew on :bigjoint:

I totally and completely agree with you on that. I don't give a good damn what the rest of the world does, my kids are here, this is the USA and we need to sweep around our own front porch a lot more before we go throwing in to help those who just want to kill us anyway.

I think you misunderstood me...if we don't stop this ebola outbreak GLOBALLY it will end up here at some point anyway (whether we halt travel from West Africa or not) and who knows how much worse it will be :???: Sweeping around "our own front porch" will only allow the problem to get worse and it's already pretty fukin bad...handle it now or pay for it later....

I started to get into this big reply but I'm not because I really don't want to talk about it right now. I talk about all this with my brother enough..lol RIU is my escape!!! which is why I don't do the political threads..;)

I have taken more bs management classes than I care to mention. I did however, come away from all of it with a simple theory, that polished the lens of my perspective.
" If it is not within your circle of influence, meaning there is nothing you can say or do to alter the situation, then it is not your problem to worry about in the first place".

It is a lot more difficult than it sounds, but I find it to be true 100% of the time, even though my brain tries to not make it so...lol

I am a firm believer in praying Grandmothers, as I would not be here today without them.
One of her favorite sayings to me was " This too shall pass". I use to say, "ok, WHEN!!!", I now realize that I was/am troubling myself over something that was not mine to worry about in the first place..............uuugggghh!
