Please read this whole thread it has pics and independent smoke reports
https://www.rollitup.org/t/are-they-done-yet-what-does-done-look-like.853978/
I tried, 90% of people on here, throwout all these crazy ass theories and have no understanding of chemistry. Boogles me mind....

If you had a grasp on the chemistry and were able to relate it, I would follow along. But I can only guide you to the concepts.....and I have pointed out the obvious flaws. Posted a graph of alcoholic fermentation proves what. This is just the energy quotient of everything under the absence of oxygen.....that is all your are showing, which is related how to what you are trying to present?

...the fade that every one likes happens in 3 to 5 days as opposed to 2 weeks and it speeds up the cure by 7 to 10 days
before everyone drives you outta here would you focus in on the fade and O2 deprivation please

okay, Im glad that someone is actually pointing out specific chemistry and that isn't good enough, it's like saying 2+2 doesn't Equal 4. CO2 is the last thing to affected by reduction [redox] in fermentation and is not required in the curing process, in fact it is vented as waste.

So my suggestion is to bone up on alcoholic vs homolactic fermentation and homofermtative versus heterofermentative
Which is what happens in my chamber, I'll gladly put one of my boiled buds up against anything, did ya read the smoke reports LOL

There is truth to the myth if you understand the science, which I posted a link to.

The myth part is the pushing of THC, What actually happens is you deprive the plant of O2 via the roots, the fade that every one likes happens in 3 to 5 days as opposed to 2 weeks and it speeds up the cure by 7 to 10 days

I've been doin it for years :bigjoint:
I know your not a newb but i cant wrap my head around what your claiming , boiling water will murder all live roots , water & nutrient uptake will cease completely .

How is killing off the root mass via boiling water to effect quicker consumation of nutrient elements remaining within the plant any different than chopping the plant then letting the plant slowly die ? as long as a chopped plant is getting energy via light it still consumes because it isnt dead , im struggling to see how any benifit can happen .

The whole 02 deprevation theory via dead root mass sounds exactly like the method of hydroponics where you drown the plant by keeping the entire root zone flooded for the last week of growth , being i have 8 seperate flood & drain tables going when i grow ive actually tried the drowning method .

I never saw any increased yield or better smoke with drowning the plants , i gotta admit i didnt read the link but if its the same theory as depriving the plant 02 via drowning i did read up on that & came away with the understanding its suedo science & not backed up with any double blind comparisons .

If its working for you great but i feel before we post such methods as factual science there needs to be peer reviewed double blind tests done with all 3 variations of a control group , im gonna go back & look at the link & see if a control group was used to gather evidence .

Im just not seeing it happening but i'll look anyway .

I respect that you also know what you're talking about, but as I said I've been growin over 40 years, I know this plant, boil one just try it, seriously

yeppers kills the roots instantly, the fade happens fast, the smoke once dried taste like a 7 to 10 day cure. In fact I started doin it after I learned about the flooding thing because the flooding thing takes to long and has the potential to mold

Got over 1000 hours of reading on fermentation
well then what is your theory, instead of relying on others interpretation......I am all for the method, but I feel your need to learn some concepts, hell, you could even be teach me a thing or two.....but saying read this thread full of faulty chemistry theories from the get-go, isn't going to get a positive reaction [sorry for the unintentional pun]:cuss:.

Are you familiar with redox reactions at all? You never seem to mention it, just curious.....

What is your theory, set aside all else or other opinions, what are the pathways of interaction? Have you thought about a conclusion regarding that?

But what is the difference between cutting the plant down and boiling the root mass, both are depriving the o2 supply??Or am I missing something?

because HEAT degrades terpenes and terpinoids, that is the one dominant difference.

I merely wanted you to read the smoke reports and see the fade pics

I'm not a chemist, I'm an electronics tech, I admit I do not fully understand everything about it, but I do know it works
