Not sure what youre saying but Yes you're talkin about a bubble cloner. Air stones would definitely help, some people put super thrive or kelp extract in the water. It would help but it's not really needed if you have an air stone. Also helps if you can cover the clones with something to keep them in humidity. Do they have roots yet?

Airstone would help. There's tones of DIY tutorials for cloners. A few from household items such as a plastic coffee container and bubbler. They're cheap to build regardless and work wonderfully. I've had great success using nothing but perlite, a dome and rooting powder up until bubble cloner. Using just a cup of water takes a lot of time. I've seen em throw little roots in 3 weeks. Ones that didn't I said screw this on. So yeah get an airstone and build a bubbler.

This is what I mean I use areo to clone but just had a few left and left them in the glass of water and there still looking good.

that's a lot of water!!!!!!! get like one of those teflon collars or a piece of styrofoam and then place ur cutting into that. that way it can float on top of the water. then throw ur airstone into that.

where it says nutrient solution, u can use clonex cloning solution at the diluted rate per gal. but water works as well. PH to 5.5 if u decide to use nutes. if not, you're all good.

ya, I've tried to just keep em in with my tomato cuttings and the tomatoes rooted in just water but the chiba didn't. don't know if the airstone would work but id doubt it. i have successfully rooted clones from branches that sat in water for three days. i just cut them a little shorter incase anything treacherous was starting on the cut end, but they fired up in no time.

You can absolutely clone in just water. I never put nutrients in my cloner, just water with the ph set at 6.5. Anything that I've rooted in tap water just sitting out was for fun and never rooted as strong as anything in the aeroponic cloner. I
The time it takes to sprout will absolutely depend on genetics though and some strains will go a lot quicker with hormones.

i got a bit fancy with my water cloner setup..
i use a kids sippy cup, one with a straw built into the cup.. i had an old air pump laying around from a co2 boost bucket years ago.. i run the airline down the kids sippy cup straw, into the water, which provides some nice o2 to the water.. i set the airpump on low setting, other wise the bubbles will evaporate the water much too quickly ime, and i usually see roots in about a week or so, strain dependent..

Ive had cutting roots in a cup of water before with no airstone. I culled a couple males and threw them in a glass on my dining room table and a couple weeks later they had roots growing into the stagnant water they were sitting in lol. So yes.
