I dont think we can get back to fair debates until both sides stop mis-representing issues.

The Republicans have not cut anything, they simply removed the automatic increase.

We as the USA cannot keep funding everything and going deeper into debt as the result will be a crash and the funding of nothing.
Cut the military.
We have 1500 nukes nothe worried about getting invaded

How about we cut $1.00 out of the department of Education for every $2.00 we cut the military. Cut away baby!!
Man that could fix a lot but I can only imagine how the geniuses in DC would make the cuts. The VA and vets would take the cuts as well as teachers and kids supplies.

Meanwhile, we'd still have a Federal Dept of Education, a State board of education (2 in some), a County board of education, a District board of education and a School board of education that wouldn't get touched.

We'd still occupy 100's of countries and have the bestest and biggest NSA, CIA, FBI, HSA, DIS etc etc etc.

I'd like cuts too, I just want them on the red tape levels not the "kids can't have art class anymore" or "thanks for your service, sorry bout your arm, can you write left-handed" levels. DC always makes cuts as painful as possible to make sure we don't ask for them again.

We could cut the federal budget by 18% and make the country freer at the same time... We won't of course, cause ............ racism, etc. Let the progressive howling begin.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/georgeleef/2015/01/12/buckleys-modest-proposal-would-erase-18-percent-of-the-federal-budget/

Roughly one-sixth of the federal budget goes for nothing that’s a matter of national concern, but for grants to state and local governments. Those grants fund a vast array of programs and projects, such as:

  • $65 million so New York and New Jersey can promote themselves as “good places to do business.”
  • $3.9 million for the airport in St. Cloud, MN, which has no daily commuter flights.
  • $532,000 to beautify one block on Main Street in Rossville, KS (pop. 1,150).

how much does a b-1 bomber cost?
How about a nuclear submarine?
Littoral Combat ship?
How much does a military base in a republican district cost per year?

yet they are the easiest and most often cut..say, didn't we have a vet bill around the end of 2014? wonder whatever happened to it?

are you talking about cutting that bill already?
