I just finished my 9 plant 6 hour transplant night. It was there first time, my first time transplanting so early (peat plugs are tiny) but when I popped Em out of the tray....nice thick white roots. Hopefully they take, put them right to sleep giving the roots a chance to get aquanted:) your girls will bounce back/I can tell you love them...they'll show the love in return. I feel like I've been awake since I planted these on the 16th. I ran out of time to take pic's this morning. Now to run errands for my sugar mama (so I have a place to grow:)

20140724_221929.jpg 20140724_221412.jpg I just posted in my journal. I can't believe it's gonna be 24 hours since transplant (just took pics) and NO signs of stress, yet;) I've never transplanted this young a plant but I'm thinking it's my new rout. Dude at hydro shop said he does as many transplants as possible to stimulate the roots every time they outgrow a container before final pot. He claimed less stress and I wasn't sure....but I'm liking it so far. I like experimentation. Here's a few shots. 20140724_221353.jpgView attachment 3212471 20140724_221836.jpg 20140724_221929.jpg

Are you flushing the cubes after you soak them?

Yea wanted to get a new ppm/ph/temp meter because I was using a friends last grow (partnered grow) so I wanted to check where the current water was and that should tell me a lot... After I was going to give em a fresh plain water flood and drain...

Yea transplanting is the best for your plants when growing in soil. My earlier grows were soil. I would use about 3 or 4 different pots. 1gal, wide 3gal, 5gal and some times 15gal felt pots. The only thing is that I started to really look into my soil; as far as what it should consist of and it became expensive to fill after so many plants so I started composting to make my own...( didn't work out) so then I started hydro and this is my 4or5 grows using flood and drain... I'm still trying my hand at the compost just started up filling my ecomposter. Would love to grow an organic crop.

I like the direction you are going I seem to be on the same track. The frog soil was a kick down from a friend to get started. I'm already like you with getting very detailed and knowledgeable about organic biology and how it pertains to the substrates breakdown of what you add (teas/nutes) and the plants ability to uptake the essential macro/micro elements. I'm also(eventually) going to build up my own substrates along with live tea's for feedings. The local dispensary I searched out of the 1000's that had the absolute top shelf flowers are slowly inviting me into the "dank" circle of elite growers (from socal to Washington). No matter what strain they have in Stock it's completely Retarded quality and always the actual legitimate strains. So most of the growers they donate to have switched from hydro to coco coir. That along with generations of family members passing down: GENETICS;)... information about nutrients/recipe's, etc...they are brewing their own live tea's. Soil and bubble hash are making a comeback. But the coco is very popular around here. I am very interested in leaning towards veganic growing. Kyle Kushman has some articles and videos about it (he developed Vagamatrix). I forgot what this whole thing was about. But the dispensary owner did say he is going to give me some cuts:) finally (genetic war here).

Yea I've read a few of the Kushmans articles and when I was subscribed to hightimes I was an avid reader of some of the coco soil and organic cultivations. Good luck with the whole elite growers thing. That would be the best learning tool and wave of experience. Plus to have correct lineage and 100% guaranteed genetic of a plant... Sigh... Lol but yea hope that works out.

Thanks bud, I'll take what ever learning experience/and any cuts(if trusted) offered. By "elite" I mean they keep a close circle of trusted growers. It's weird here in southern California (lame) very money driven. So I like to do my gardening alone, tried the partnership/dispensary rout and did not enjoy that side of the plants life:) I will apply any techniques I think will make my garden happy. I enjoy growing from seed, but I'm gonna try something different, not to mention they do have some ridiculous genetics and I am interested on how they treat their cannabis plants. The industry is really hyped out down here.....people are growing marijuana who have never even smoked pot or had a relationship with it.

Check out a little bit of what I mean by 20140726_045848.jpg 20140726_045745.jpg 20140726_045238.jpg the "other side" of the plants life. You know it's a money thing. I just had bad experiences with growing for "donations". Got to keep it Humble:)

How did your last grow turn out? My setup is similar to yours. I have 2 x 600 's over a table.
The last grow that was posted on this thread was not even finished but every other grow I have done with my 4x8s has been successful. same set up you say? how many plants do you usually run?

wait I lied, I had one grow stop on my in like my 4-5th week, but I had some electricity issues and the lights had put the plants into shock....

Well not much action yet as I am waiting for 4in/6in Mufflers for my two inline fans to arrive. The hydro shops in my town didn't carry them and all overcharged for an order so I did it myself... however shipping is slow! so the room sit in this current state...

so as we wait...

My last run was 36 tangie (topped and lolly popped) in 6" square white pots. Kind of like if sea of green. I really want to run 120. But I really don't have 120 clones near ready to do a sog. So after my current pheno run of 4 super lemon haze and 5 purple project under my 2x600's I will run 12 under each light via nft/aeroponics or 6" square pots canna coco topped and lolly pop. I haven't decided yet

Ok the 12 under each light should give you a really nice even canopy, if yoy scrog it I could see you maybe doubling you harvest... or atleast a nice increase.

I run my plants with a coco mat in the bottom of the table, my clones are transferred to 8in pargo cubes (rockwool) and that's where the remain the rest of the grow, my roots grow under the coco mat and have "infinite" room to explore (the whole 4x8) they grow reall nicely under and it give my plants the space it needs to grow as big as needed, or enough support for a nice topping.
