I know you've popped a lot of beans. Putting aside all the usual cautions of 'finding gems' in beans and all that......if you were forced to start over with only beans, what would they be? Narrowing it a bit more......something that is at least normally available to purchase?

This is a tuff one.

The cuts I've been gifted don't compare to seeds I've ran. If I had to start all over, I would give archive a try. I've never grown them but recently had a sample from friend and I'd have to say I was impressed.

I did grow out a few docs og from rare dank and I do remember getting one that was og funk and a good buzz to match. Just the yield was terrible, like really bad. I believe archive uses the same face off. I think there is fire if you but a couple packs or so.

If I couldn't find anything there, I would probably quit smoking and become an alcoholic.

I really got tired of looking for something specific and buying genetics hoping to find a mother dominant og cross and being let down over and over. The thought of starting over makes me remember how terrible it was.

I like to start over . Fresh start , fresh genetics , new beginnings . Like rebooting the computer . Updating my gear and trying much more of a variety is what I like to do . But I understand when the 1 of a 1000 seed comes along ... Gotta kidnap her !

most people are just content growing and smoking some good looking nice smelling seedless bud that usually yields above average,,, not me I have to be smoking and growing the best... yield is the last thing on my mind... though everything CAN yield heavy if you veg it long enough and grow it right...

Bell bottoms are still around. So is disco. Just because something is trendy doesn't mean it's not good but in the 90's blueberry was more prevalent than OG kush throughout the world. And OG only shits on other strains in people's minds. Ever heard of the placebo effect?

And anyone that has spent any time in California has had OG forced down their throat. I personally didn't think any of the OGs I've smoked were the holy grail of weed, but if people do that's cool.

Variety is the spice of life!

Lately I've been doing both. I've got 5 or 6 strains that I keep mama's and use those clones in my perpetual garden, and then I flower plants grown from seed in smaller containers so I'm always running new strains too and I'm not committing a bunch of space and soil to plants that could turn out to be junk. Best of both worlds IMO.

blueberry is kinda weak bro... the potency outta 10 id say its around a 7 if not 6.5. blueberry is more of a taste and eye candy kinda strain... its got a mellow indica high not too unlike grand daddy purple or something of that nature....

matter of fact I can think of a few blueberry crosses that are more potent then the original blueberry from dj shorts,... bluedream...blue-goo, blackberry og, ect.

Maybe the blueberry you've smoked was weak and yes the blueberry beans available now are not representative of that early blueberry. But in late 90's and early 2000s the famed beans from DJ were producing super potent blueberry plants. That mother or male plant used to get those results has since been lost and now it's hard to find those same genetics.

The 10 pack of blueberry I had from dutch passion had three keepers and all were just as potent as any OG I've smoked in California.

im familier with dj shorts blueberry and a few other of his strains...... also blueberry itself is a finiky plant to grow at first the crosses of it are soo much easier to grow.. people use blueberry in crosses to bring out colors, and get that berry smells/taste sometimes to beef yeilds

I think that depends on a) whether it's the true blueberry (satuva dom) or indica dom and b) how long ago the seeds or cut was purchased. I got some seeds from DJ short back in the 90's (which i only have F2's of now) that were his original offeringss before he went the indica dominant way, the high from that was soaring, yet put you on your arse for a good couple of hours. These days the blueberry is watered down or gone backwards as it lacks that punch it used to have. I would hazard a guess and think the OG will end up the same way eventually, if not already, because of breeders choosing different traits to breed with that aren't necessarily adding anything to the next cross...

ive smoked blueberry in the late 90s and early 2000s bro..... dj shorts blueberry is still the same donno about dutch passions fuck dp.... blueberry atleast here in the mighty cold in the fall Midwest makes fror one of the pretties fucking plants you have ever seen come harvest time in mid/late oct. with all blues purples lavenders reds yellow and orange collors you get from leaves buds and pistils... it doesn't retain a lot of that color has it dries but still looks purdy
