So that represents all of California? Hardly proves there is only 3 legit cuts out there is all I'm saying. At most it proves those were fake and that is at most. Not really concrete proof and most of so cal weed is never tested. At least from what I've seen. It's a huge state dank one

All I said was that there were 3 confirmed people who have the cut. Obviously I have no idea what people are growing in their garages in LA. Maybe someone has it down there, IDK. But I do know the guy who brought the real #4 cut into California and know exactly who has it.
It's entirely possible that someone else has brought it in from out of state. But if they have I haven't seen it yet. But anyone who got it from a California source does not have the #4 cut.

I get that but why get bent about it? It's his opinion and you have the cut so no reason to perpetuate it.
I can say from experience that Dan is usually spot on when it comes to elite genetics. With that being said we know there is no possible way for anyone to track these things. I have a cut and I believe it to be real but I will be growing it out and seeing what I really have. At the end of the day I am just growing for me and not vending so I could care less if I have the REAL cut.

I got the darkheart cut. Just about to flip them so no comparisons or even expectations. But I will show the test reports once I'm done to add to the case. I believe dan...like has been said...he's spot on 99%. But since I got them already, I am interested in what this second string cut has to offer.

hmmmm... i had the legit cut in cali 2 years ago and have given cuts to at least 7-8 of my closest. I don't know how it slipped by you Dan? Maybe you weren't working that day at the fruit check station when it came into cali through that ONE road that goes in and out of cali. Or maybe it was smuggled through the mountains. Either way, you missed it. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us.

Go get it lab tested.
Taking a picture of a bud off your plant isn't really proving anything (especially since it's no where near as frosty as the #4 cut I'm running).
Take it to the lab, if you can get it to test above 26% I'll believe it's the real cut.

The other cuts of GG are pretty stony. It's not like it's schwag or anything. Just different phenotypes. I know the legit source who brought it into Cali. They are good, they just aren't on the same level as the #4 test. We are consistently getting 30% tests on the #4 cut. If you can get a test like that I'll believe it's the real cut. But "I smoked it and got high" doesn't make it the real #4 cut.
It's entirely possible you have the real cut, how would I know. I'm just saying every single grower I've met who's running glue swears they have the real cut and so far they've all come back testing 18%-24% and when I saw the buds they were all clearly a different pheno.

Unlike the photos above, yours does look right. But it's really impossible to say without seeing the final product in person or seeing the lab test.
The final product will be the stickiest bud you've ever seen. It will have a chocolate flavor similar to the chocolate note in thin mints, but way more dominant than thin mint gsc and have a strong chemdog/sour d flavor on top of that. It will keep you high for an extremely long time when you smoke it. One puff should get you a pleasant, dumb feeling, but still a functional hybridized smoke with a strong heady behind the eyes pressure. Keep smoking it for a long time and it'll just lay you out acting similar to a heavy og like platinum in effect.

You will not be disappointed with the glue cut you have. So far all the cuts I've seen with very few exceptions have been very good. They are real gorilla glue cuts, just not the #4. But even the other cuts are generally some of the best floating around right now.
One thing to be cautious about. Keep feeding it nitrogen through the first week after flipping. Glue will look completely healthy all the way up to about week 6-7 of flowering and then all of a sudden it will turn into the biggest nitrogen hog you've ever seen, completely bleeding out the plant and leaving it with yellow/brown leaves. By the time you see the plant start to behave this way it will be too late to add nitrogen. You need to address this in the last week of veg and the first week of flowering if you want to grow it out to it's maximum potential.

I'm not claiming to know what everyone in California is growing in their personal grows. I'm just saying the real cut hasn't turned up at any dispensaries in California nor at any labs except from one source. There is one delivery service in San Diego that has the real cut, but that's the only one I've seen in SoCal. Considering the strain hadn't finished being bred two years ago, I find it unlikely that you had it before the breeder had it.
