Making a small box around the window hole like you were saying you could connect both ducts to it. Or just get a boot and a "y" for it. If you let the 6" pull air out of the grow area along with the 8" then your temos will be better. Why would you want to intake the light hoods from a different room. I could see you doing that if you had a sealed environment running co2.

Seems like unneccary ducting. And all you'll be doing is removing less heat from your grow room. If your Intaking trough door and Exausting all out the window... You will create a draw of air which will slowly pull all of the air from your basement. Keeping your grow room cool due to the constant pull of air tbeough your basement and out the window. If you do what you just said^^^^^ then you'll only heat up the laundry room.. Which is just cool air you could be taking advantage of... Hope this makes sense. Your the only one who can make the right decision cause your there.

The air in my basement will be cooler then the air outside in the summer

So if I put a hole in wall n strapped fan to it going through hoods and outside it would keep it cooler? Idk.. It's -5 outside the air is too cold to use..

Idk If I should just use the one fan and suck from the room like I'm doing now and through both hoods.. I don't wanna use my driveway side window..the only other window is the small one enough for one hole

All your trying to do with the light hoods and that exaust is remove the hot air that the lights put off. I don't thjnk the few degree cooler air from your basement compared to the air from your grow, will make any difference in Cooling your lights off more. And intaking like the picture I drew up will help remove some of the heat from the acual grow area as well. And exausting both fans through your window will get rid of the most heat. You will need to silence the window somehow. Do a little research. Type in how to make grow room window exaust quiet?

I only remember seeing a pic of the small window. Which will work if you can make a muffler lol. Or something to make it quieter. And only the one fan exausyijg through hoods like you just said won't remove enough air I don't think. If you just use the 8" fan and reduce Into the 6" duxt, you'll lose some cfm and also will be louder. But the 6" for the lights and the 8" for th grow seems good enough. Your gonna be flowering with 2k watts of hps. You'll need all the exaust you can get so running both fans isn't shit. A lot of people with that much hot lights have even more complex ventallation

And yea -5 degree temos blowing across those light will make so much humidity they'll probably burn out. That is if the cold air alone doesn't pop them.

Keep it simple stupid like someone told me. Got me to the right place. And to me this pic seems simple stupid. And I think it's your key. Just hang it all up and try. If it doesn't work youll need an ac. Nothing else will fix it for us I don't think.
Maybe creating more Intake holes will help tho. Even so.. There will still only be one intake on the door. Maybe making that hole a bit bigger if heat is still a problem. Or knocking out a couple other small holes where wall meets the floor of grow room. I know you don't want to go through concrete but maybe pulling air from more than one side of the grow will help as well

4 thermometer's these r the readings
IMAG1113.jpg
Bottom right 84
Middle 86 24 humidity
Top left 84
Bottom left 87 showing 10 humidity

Don't know why I got two diff humidity readings but its glad to see the new one showing more then 10% lol.

Nice. Both light on too? That's not bad. There's some slack in the duxting to the right side of pic. I know you'll need some but maybe that's too much. Does the duxt to the very right go put the window?

I'd bet that 6" fan attached the same way you have that 8" now will keep the temps about the same. Because yor reducing it it probably isn't pulling too much more air out than your 6" would. And your just removing the hot air around the bulbs so just a nice steady flow of air should work fine. I would try using the 6" for the light hoods. Like mount the fan to the very left side of pic with filter attached and blow straight through both hoods to the window. Then use your 8" fan and filter hung up against the back wall near the celing and duct it to blow into another room. I think you'll do better this way. But those plants are fine for now since you only need one of those loghts going during veg. I think it's lookik good man you may just get your 2 lbs one day soon.

Ya both lights runnin ..I'll heck again later today..lights come on in an hour lol. Right now its 8" filter fan hood hood and out..
I'm thinking maybe make another passive hole like 15" x6". ? In the brick..it is a cold cellar so I do need it to circulate with rest of house so I figure if I did that it would help aswell

Are those all femonized seeds I forget. Their looking good man. I think they are finally taking off. Read up on topping the rigt way and top em. If you haven't already. So what's the temp situation now with both lights on? I think running both fans will help more than just adding another passive Intake hole for sure. That's a large grow area man use both fans. Just hang the 6" fan and filter right next to the 8" and attach it to the light hood. Make the duxt piece that goes to the window 6" cause it looks like it's 8". Are you using the duct boot on the window hole? The 6" will attach nice and neat.
