7 Marines, not troops? Give me a break. We didn't even have a nation much before that. Here is a list of all our Combat loses. I bet most people, don't know the extent of our constant commitment.

Sorry, but you are giving totals for the ENTIRE war, I was giving you an example of the battle for TRIPOLI, A grand total of 8 Marines won that battle, no other US troops were involved. Do you even know why "from the shores of Tripoli" was quoted in your previous post? Do you know where that comes from? Any idea at all? Any?

The US Marine Corps is older than the United States is.

The United States Marines began as the Continental Marines, authorized by the Continental Congress of 1775. They searched ships while the Founders wrote the Constitution.

And you are trying to claim I said anything about the battle losses at Tripoli, you did. I mentioned Tripoli as it is Blood against Jihad. And you are trying to attribute dis-honor to the Marine Corp, by saying the song is only about 8 guys.
