My buddy told me a story about mortar attack in Nam. He was on the Airbase way back in the Conex stacks. He couldn't make it to the prepared trenches. And they managed to land a few in the stacks. He said he was running around crouching in corners panting like a mad dog for the entire barrage.

Think of the mother with daughters and an already dead husband in Mosul. She lives in real fear.

For us Americans, talking about this how we gird ourselves against the raw fear.

People talk about the Crusades as tho they occurred in a vacuum. The Muslims were not the "innocent victems" they would have you believe. They were killing and enslaving "infidels" (Europeans), obstensivly giving the Pope reason to initiate the Crusades in an attempt to retake what was the birthplace of Christianity.

The crusades cannot be justified by Christians, often times it was war against their own. The sacking of Constantinople comes to mind.


Don't forget all the other crusades that weren't numbered!

I'm not trying to justify the Crusades. I'm just pointing out the prevalient meme that the Muslims weren't the innocent victems they portray thems to be. Remember, before , what 850 AD? Islam did not even exist. It was/is a bloody coup started by a meglomaniac who claimed he was God's agent. Muslims worship him, which, by definition, makes them infidels. Thus, the bastards should behead themselves for worshipping a diety other than Allah.

Islam recognizes the Jewish, Christian, and Sikh God as the same. The name Allah is a different name for Yawweh. Most serious religious scholars (mostly priests) are of the same opinion:
"The Church regards with esteem also the Muslims. They adore the one God, living and subsisting in Himself; merciful and all-powerful, the Creator of heaven and earth, who has spoken to men."



You are correct! Muslims who cannot treat Mohammed as a human are breaking one of the chief tenets of Islam. You are allowed to picture Mohammed as you wish, just not Allah. The idea is that a picture/drawing/depiction would allegedly cause worship . . . except Muslims who scream about his (Mohammed's) depiction essentially idolize him.
