Kindsir, no offense but I just wanted to give you my two bits that your questions are quite basic and therefore not best answered in a pot forum. The tent question drew a bunch of us in, but now you're asking q's that are best answered through basic reading on (dare I say it) "What makes a plant tick."

Seriously no offense, the folks at RIU are very helpful and a bunch of your q's will be answered- but with accurate answers? Only occasionally. (you've already seen some flamers go at it here in this thread supposedly about tents...) Obviously you've LOTS to learn, and I recommend getting the base level of knowledge via general grow books or reading the shit out of the forums here. They're a way better place to nail down a lot of the basic understanding of grow spaces, plants, etc. Then come back and post threads with specific questions that you can't find answers to.

Again I don't mean to be a dick but whole room vs tent and simple ventilation questions are covered ad infinum and expertly throughout this site. Folks at RIU are endlessly helpful, but honestly for the simple(r) questions you're asking here, some of the general grow guides will give you way better advice than the back/forth you'll get here.

Here's one to get you started:

This is the newbie section
And when u seach the internet u will find 100's of opinions that r much more misleading then here . Is why I first joined I have had lots of very very good advise .
I'd love to live ina country where u can buy a grow guide for weed but it's highly legal here would be like buying a book where u live ,on how to make coke or meth

At least here u get upto date opinions not opinions from last year here u also get personal experiences

To start all you need is good quality zips, heavy duty flaps covering zips with Velcro for light leaks,
A removable floor, two fan ports with draw strings and sufficient length for light leaks and a power port with light proofing, and a sturdy frame and Mylar walls. If it meets all those criteria it will work. They are all mostly out of the same factories in China anyways I promise you.
For someone starting out it is fine and you don't need a rolls Royce to learn to drive so you don't need a expensive tent to learn to grow. My first tent was a Seahawk, cost me 120.00
Aussie and it worked great.
A lot of the higher priced ones are more about marketing and prestige, some are great but be careful you could be paying more for the same tent with premium trim.
yep, I have a Chinese no name tent that I paid about $100 for and it is faultless

DESCRIPTION
This premium-grade grow tent from Hydro Experts is perfect for amateur and professional growers all levels and experience. The freestanding design is constructed from commercial-grade, puncture, mildew and fire-resistant oxford nylon fabric. It is completely opaque to block ambient light from entering and system light from exiting.

The interior is extremely efficient and highly-reflective so plants use all supplied light without waste. The reflection surface is durable, fade-proof and is thermally adhered to the outer shell; it will not separate or tear.

This tent is suitable for use with any growing system: hydroponic, aeroponic, and soil-based cultivation. It is compatible with all types of lights: incandescent, LED, fluorescent (standard, CFL and T5), and HID (Metal Halide, High Pressure Sodium and Dual Arc). Industrial-strength, over-sized coil zippers curve to go around corners without opening or separating.

A Velcro tab will hold open the door while working. A separate floor-pan provides a second layer of protection against any accidental spills. The frame are crafted from powder-coated tubular steel and lock in place with spring-loaded, sure-lock pins; unit can be assembled in minutes without tools. Removable upper rails provide overhead support for lighting, odor control or ventilation systems. System contains several mesh-covered vent windows with flaps and ducted ports with drawstrings to provide control over the growing environment; open, close or vent the system to adjust temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and light conditions.

the only thing I don't like is the no Velcro on the vents it just hangs there but I wouldn't be worried about the minimal light that might enter and I hang a blanket over the window anyway
I use passive intake so I like the bottom 0 light escapes from em and if it did it would be below plant lvls

You gotta start somewhere,
There's better quality but as a starter it works.
Tent is cheap but it's as good as my m8 that brought from a hydro shop for like 350 and just as big
Rest me gear is top of the line bulbs Best in aus
The ballast had the best mag components

The inline has a 5 year warranty lol
