Commercial greenhouses in HOLLAND use these things=== cold for most of the year, it's also used for a heat source; win for them. extra HVAC load for the rest of us though....

I'll bet a grow room consultation , i need one soon:P

They also put out 25% more light @ 1000w than a single ended bulb. Even more at 1150w. And bulbs last almost 2 years. This has been discussed very extensively on other sites. Studies of the scientific variety indicate they are the most efficient lights on the market in terms of performance. Take into account bulb longevity and cost compared to the only other lights that can compare (which are high end cobs) and it's a no brainer.

then there's the Philips all start 860w CMH. Pulls 900w. It could definitely compete against gavita. Possibly out perform gavita.

The only thing that gets me is hobbyist junk. Like its not good enough because it's not so called professional.

The best and most desired herb will come from the sun and probably hobbyist friendly led
They don't know, how the COB glow, but everything else soon after is gonna blow!

Gavitas systems are really nice and high tech... Last I looked they had all sorts of options. I can see why commercial grows would use them

Plasma will produce exceptional quality herb, no question about it. The gavita plasmas basically put out the same spectrum as the sun as far as plants are concerned.

me by the end of the year hopefully. But can't use cobs. Lights have to be UL approved for a dispensary commercial grow op. Gavitas, CMH , apache or inda gro.
Would need to get a design approved than. Can't be that hard...

Would be a good topic for diy.

Actually done with this thread. I'm not interested in hid options. Only reason I entered is because of some mud slinging

I've looked into it. Eventually I want to use ul approved cobs. Its a lengthy and costly process. It can take up to a year to get a design UL approved. Fyi panels have to have cases. No naked panels. I just inquired if cases have to be metal. I have an idea for clear acrylic cases. I found a place to make them.
