Easy, Rand Paul. I'm not really a Walker fan.

The most impressive politician to me right now is Mike Duggan the Mayor of Detroit. He's not running though but maybe someday. I liked Corey Booker before DC. I hope they don't ruin him.

The MI governor is a unique guy. He's managed to piss off everyone on both sides of the aisle, so to me that means he's doing something right. Snyder is his name.

Condy Rice and Dr. Ben Carson is my dream ticket that will never happen. Duggan is a Dem so he wouldn't be on a ticket with either of those.

Who does it for you?
I like Cory Booker. I agree with hoping he does not change. Elizabeth Warren sounds sound.
Dr. Ben Carson is a no go. OUT OF TOUCH
Condy Rice I just think is sexy, but is ruined do to her involvement with Bush. She has her dream job. Stay picking NCAA playoffs
Much too early on Duggan.

She has MY dream job, well other than USC trainer for girls gymnastics.

I got to hear Carson speak (as a neurosurgeon, not as a politician) and he impressed the hell out of me, just his life story. I know the neighborhood he grew up in, and though it was decades before me, I'm sure it was bad then too. He really is an impressive man, don't let the resident tard calling him a thug influence you.

He is not perfect, he has some whacky ideas. I've yet to find a perfect candidate though.

What is it that you don't like about him? Oh, forgot who I was talking to, he's kind of against the nanny state thing, never mind.

Again I formed my opinion of Dr. Carson on my own. Get UB out your head. Shit starting to get me worried now. Never even heard his take on Dr. Carson
Honestly how often do you think of UB on an average day 10, 15 ??
Carson may be a wonderful neurosurgeon, but he has no business in politics. Ask Dr. Carson where does gay men come from. He thinks from prison.
I think you just rooting for the hometown man.

Ah, but the Richy Rich were even richer, there was just less of them. If you adjusted for inflation Carnegie would be worth 280Billion and Cornelius Vanderbilt 168Billion. That's more than Gates and Buffett combined. John D Rockefellar would be worth a staggering 300Billion. That's just sick.

And yes, their money influenced politics too.
They inspired the Sherman Antitrust Act.

I see little hope for such limits being enacted on the power of the dollar today.

Even the fucking SCOTUS thinks money and 'free' speech are interchangeable?

REALLY??

They didn't inspire the Sherman Antitrust Act. They are breaking it.
Agree on the SCOTUS, but only 5

Didn't he also say there shouldn't be jail for drug use?
no, he said judges should have the option of not doing mandatory minimums, and he only did that after obama and holder did so, and his version goes nowhere near as far as obama's action on the issue.

you are a confused idiot.

So if I politely ask for a definition of activists again and you fling poo again and I say OK then, nevermind, will you keep getting the butthurt while accusing MELTDOWN!!!?
do activists often try to conceal their influence by funneling dark money through shady, non-traceable channels?

Condy is up to her neck in Saddam's weapons of mass destruction. No one from the Dubbya admin. is electable at the national level. Surprised U would support her at all.

While I agree that the constitution doesn't empower any state or the feds to prohibit cannabis, the constitutional argument relies on the supremacy clause. That is to say that it violates the constitution insofar as the states do not have a constitutional right to violate, obstruct or supercede federal laws. Colorado's court will obviously side with Colorado. This will therefore become an opportunity for the US Supreme Court to set a precedent. The executive branch still has the power to reschedule under the controlled substances act.
You could be right on your framing of the legal analysis but the marijuana cat is too far out of the bag. The Sheriffs are on the wrong side of history now.

I also understand the various "rules" arguments put forth by the legal types, done it myself in another time in my life, played all the constitution this and constitution that games. I'll just say when you prove them wrong with their own rules in court, they don't like it.

Now I just get to the root of it..you own yourself, regardless of which piece of paper they shuffle under your nose.

So Fuck the Supreme Court and the controlled substances act too.
