There are two types of hydro growers.

1. Pros who have their stuff dialed in and the motivation and time to watch over their stuff.

2. Newbs and dumbasses who wanna be Rambo growers and think they can nuke the plants with nutes and force it to be the baddest plant on the planet. They usually fail.

Disclaimer. I grew hydro one time. Bought a good setup and PH-ed daily. It was succesful but I found no satisfaction in having to fuck with it all the time. Hempy bucket all the way and I'll mess with soil a bit too. I would do MG before hydro.

I belive, in a hydro setup, you always have access to the roots. They're submerged in fresh water rather than soil.

Naturally soil is the way, hydro is great too though. I wouldn't say that there is anything natural about growing hydroponically. I find it more efficient though. I don't change my tank or PH it just does its own thing for 9 weeks and I enjoy it.

Try to save all the leaf material you can. If your fans are dead cut them off but if theres a fan that still has one or more leaf petals then just cut along the dead line and save the good ones. A fan leaf with two petals is better than none. If you have wobbly tips on the branches id cut those off too. Its like a drastic topping so cut like how you want it to come back, dont leave branches with cut off tips, take it back to a node with a sucker branch coming off and use the sucker as your new meristem. Dont flip them right away or they will have a much better chance of switching sexes on you and you dont want that. Id wait at least two weeks, lots of folks defoliate and trim without worry so if she doesnt fall over and drop dead theres a pretty good chance shell bounce back in a couple weeks. Just get ready to train them down a bit if your pressed for height.

Hydro is beautiful and the knowledge of it is inspired by the marine ocean plant life. So hydro is advanced only because of constant oxygen, water, and organic nutrients. Hydro is not for pros only and the pros had to start off with mistakes as well. So its a matter of being responsible with care and concern for the plant. Thus other factors such as space, time, patience, focus, equipment, motivation...etc. Also on Amazon you can get a Single bucket set and the meters you need and just study up on it. The truth is your not a complete grower until you successfully touch these various or diverse areas and styles of growing.
