Room is about 18x16 ft50 watts per square foot is ideal. So...how big is your room? 1400w would be ideal for about a 5x6
Fuckin riteThere's no such thing as too much light
There's no such thing as too much light
Could not be more wrong. Light saturation and light bleaching. Google it.Fuckin rite
Fire won't be an issue as long as your electric is sound. I say run the extra light.Room is about 18x16 ft
but what I'm concerned about is the power.... I know the plants will love the extra light... I'm saying is that too many watts in one room so I don't have a fire
Depends on your total area. You want to shoot for at least 50w /sq.ft to ensure healthy, vigorous growth. Figgy is right is suggesting you be careful. Bleaching can be a serious problem. Make sure you have good ventilation using that much wattage.Goodmornin my beautiful peeps... I got a question maybe one of you could help me out with.... I have a 1000 watt hps running do you think I should add a 400 watt mh to it for a total of 1400watts. Or is that too much power for one room?

Got ya. There's just too many idiots out there who would read that post and put a 1000w in a 2x2 tent. Common sense is lost these days. You can have light saturation and bleaching with just a 600w if you are utilizing it improperly. I thought it kinda goes without saying that I'm talking about using as much light as you can without being a total moron, but there's the clarification if you so need it.
Ok so nobody is gonna talk about amps ?... I'm trying to figure out if I can do this without having a fireDepends on your total area. What the fuck do you mean if my electric is sound?.... I NEED FACTS !!!!Fire won't be an issue as long as your electric is sound. I say run the extra light.
Finally someone talkin electric... what are the circuits and receptacles? And how do you know if your goin to overload oneI have 4 400s running, 3 inline fans 2 oscalating fans one regular fan a big ass humidifier (5gal) 2 1000 watt lights and 2 little 4" fans blowing cool air in on top of holes in the floor that lead to my basement. Oh ya and right now I have 2 space heaters (one little one and another "sidekick" tiny ass one) a t5 light and heating pad in my closet ALL IN ONE ROOM! You just have to make sure your being safe and not overloading receptacles. I just had my electrician add a box to the room and 2 240v receptacles and 6 120v recepticles. Plus the 3 or 4 120v recepticles rbat were in there already. So now I have 2 circuits in the room
The room is huge I said 16x18 and I'll add height 9.5ftSounds like you need to supply more information.
What are the dimensions of the space?
How big is the breaker the room is tied in to and how many/what kinds of rooms/appliances are running on that breaker?
We can't answer a question without pertinent information!
