I don't appreciate the negative comments made toward me. I don't appreciate being told that my solutions are "bullshit", when in my eyes, DQing for a late update is kinda bullshit. I wanted as I said "The lesser of 2 evils". I apologized in advance, and was still criticized and second guessed.

Funny thing is my eight year old has no problem abiding by my rules, without question. He also doesn't bitch after I have made my decision, no matter how butt hurt he is....

Here is my Saturday update.

All 4 had a good week, not much to talk about.

The one spindly looking one has skinny leaves and can't handle the trashcan. It looks heat stressed to me, I think that's the Lambo aka Rambo. I'll be removing that one plant from the comp. The other three seem to be enjoying themselves.

The shape of the trashcan and the arrangement of the lights tends to produce a short, bushy cylindrical plant, but usually it has more space to stretch its roots :roll eyes:

He's got a valid point!We all know it.I believe the others are just trying to stay in line,trying not to rock the boat...or stay in voters good graces.When I feel something is wrong ...I SPEAK UP!
All I know is GOD WILLING:)if I get a second ,third,fourth place or finish below someone who has been late once updating already much less by a 2x late offender .......YEAH I WOULD BE PISSED!
Especially since I'm under threat of being dq'd if I'm a minute late.I forgot to make sure enough money was on my credit card so i had to borrow $50 bucks from a friend,drive 20 min to the store and pay my WiFi so I wouldn't be late,otherwise I would have waited till Monday when it automatically gets billed to my credit.

I think the moral of this story is don't update late,again!....and don't be all nonchalant about updating because some people take competition seriously.If your gonna update late say something!!

Waaaaaaaaaaay to late my friend. They have to be started from seed, put into 12/12, receive zero sunlight, and cannot be transplanted. You're more than welcome to sign up for the next one though.

On a side note, I don't think I'm going to have to turn on the other two lights. My entry seems to be chugging along quite nicely. Hopefully the pH issues will clear up in a few days of just water.

Sarcasm doesn't translate well through the net... You really think he would unpot them from those containers, shake off dirt and put in a 16 oz cup for the comp?? not trying to be a dick just stating the obvious.

And holy shit you guys get yourselves worked up into a frenzy quick... glad I have not been paying attention much if this is what the thread has devolved to is daily discussions of dq.. see yall at the voting.

Who cares if muthafuckers are cheating or missing an update. .at the end of the day someone's plant will still be better then everyone else's...i like it when people cheat at things...for example if we were playing basketball , having a three point shooting competition. And your foot kept hitting the line.. I wouldn't care, because I know in my heart that I'm still going to wreak you..

Next comp should be invitation only. Not determined by growing skill; but sportsmanship, demeanor, and the way we handle things. Yes cheating should be addressed. But in a fashionable way, and when the host makes the call. That's the call. You didnt confront your coach on a play he called, or question your boss's judgement (well... I do, but with respect and in such a way to shed some light to another alternative... part of my job) and when they don't listen, i set back and let them watch their call play out.

Agai, invite only may be something to consider. I may be down for the next one if I have space.
