Was able to check out my area,not bad at all for the snow melt and recent rains. Still to thin for my liking to get supplies in.supplies are ready to make the journey though.

I too am getting ready in the northeast. Gotta go up and if holes this week... But one does not simply dig holes in the mountains. It's all rock :/

Do you scout out areas while keeping the rock thing in mind.I don't mind digging but down in my part of the world the soil is void of rock( thank goodness).

my holes been cooking for 1-2 months now, prolly wait till mid may for planting. pond i dug 8 years ago needed digging out and new plastic liner. took a few trees down too. here's to a good year!

I'm going to do some in pots and some in the holes that I manage to dig with the stone bar. Swamps are all over I considered using them as they are nearly impenetrable
