what do i do with trimmings?

Harvesting plant right now. I had to harvest about 5 days earlier due to hermie signs....seeds and pollin sacks at lower end of plant. So should i cure the little nugs wiyh seeds and the leaves before making hash. Or i can just make it on the spot. Btw my friend told me to freeze all my trimmings to keep the glands in tact. Can i just store them in my freezer. How long are they good for. When should i make the hash?

You can use both dry or fresh frozen trim to make hash. I let mine dry out in a shoe box with no lid before I hash it. You can store the trim in the freezer in a jar. I would not cure with the leaf on the bud. You can either dry them with the leaf on or trim prior to the dry. Some people like to cure their trim. I just put it in a box and when I'm done trimming I make my hash. Good Luck Bro.

For me, I think fresh trim makes the best hash no matter the method. You get that nice golden color when it's fresh. I've used plenty of cured buds and Trim and it makes a great product as well, but you tend to get the brown/dark coloring.

For bubble i freeze it for 24 hours before making it, this is fresh trim right off the plant. I get more potent bubble using fresh frozen trim, but get more using dru.

For BHO i spread it out on a flattened out cardboard box for 1-2 days. Until it is "halfway" dry. Then i run it without breaking anything up. It gives me a blonde crumbe as an end result. I get less than if i dryed it thoroughly and ground it, but it comes out way more potent and way lighter in color.

Trim can be dried for a day or two, and sifted over a silk screen. The golden dust that falls through can be processed to make wax or put into a bowl and smoked unprocessed. Thats how I do it. The kief high is the best. You may not even want to smoke buds anymore after you try kief.

I dont trim any of my popcorn/lowers and run them fresh frozen. I freeze them un trimmed right off the plant and when i am done harvesting and get replanted, I take it out of the freezer and run it right a way to make shatter. Fresh frozen material or live resin extracts have the most terps in the final product in my opinion. Smells and taste better compared to drying it out and then running it.

Thanks for all your help guys. So right now i have 3 zip locks in my freezer from about 7 days ago. And there not closed either. Just added 2 more bags yesterday. ... did mess anything up. Should i make the hash today asap?

If you want to make BHO, i dry my material then run 300ml of puretane per oz. Then throw it in my shattervac(bestvaluevacs great company) with the digital heat pad at 110degree F and will pull and release pressure until it has settle enough where it doesnt inflate, then hold at 29Hg for 40 hours. Receiving about 2-3g of shatter/wax per Oz(all sugar and airy bud no fan leaf). As for when i make bubblehash i like to take the fresh trim and put it in the fridge for 24 hours, not the freezer as this will puncture the cell walls and release clorophyll and cause your hash to be very green or even black. I do my first run with 5min aggitation, 15min settle, 5min aggitation, 30min settle and dump into bubble bags. that is with the 5 gallon bubble magic machine. I fill ice, trim, ice. 3/4 full of the bubblemagic machine and just enough water to see it at the top. Hope this helps at all.

If you dont have a vaccum purge, skip the bho and save your brain and lungs. But, i would suggest you look into 1 gallon bubble bags if your only doing a small amount of trim 8oz and under. I run several lbs of trim so i need machines lol. You will get some top quality hash by aggitating your trim with a wooden spoon for 15 mins on 15 mins off 15 mins on 30 mins off and then filter. do NOT try to force the water through any of the bags, you will ruin them and get less quality and quantity in the end. Making your own ice from RO Or distilled water is best, that bullshit from gas stations is crap. Ill make ice for days before and have my chest freezer full lol.

Just bought some ghetto stuff to make the hash. Bucket. Water. Ice. Strainer for plant foliage. Coffe filter for micron filter.

Yea i definitely agree with not making bho with out the proper equipment. We run a sweet leaf closed system with a couple across international vac ovens

Another good thing you can for low start up cost is dry sift. We make some full melt dry sift that you can dab.

I found an 8 bag 5 gal set on ebay delivered for $28. 5 bag sets are probably cheaper. I wouldnt bet on them being quality, but if I get 3-4 runs out of them I will feel good about my purchase. I dont freeze anything personally, but let it sit in cardboard boxes to dry out. No fan leaves or stems. Just frosty sugar leaves and trimmings from buds. I also throw in what little scrub bud I end up with as well. After you get the bags, all you will ever need is ice and water.

Ouch, coffee filters? Thats a small screen and i think those are 25 microns. Thats a reaaallllyyy slow drain.

Imo a coffee filter is going to stop a lot of the good stuff from coming through. They work fine for butane if your winterizing and don't have a lab filter but with bubble, a lot of your heads will get caught in it
