First harvest; hanging dry

So I chopped the hijack auto today...she was ready man. Really quick and easy grow. 60 days....And I've learned so much over the past few weeks of being on this site (and other sites for that matter) and look forward to trying new techniques moving forward. I'm still growing the TS @64 days. She's been a tough and resilient plant though; I've put that girl through hell!!

Will weigh when dry.

Should I have trimmed them more?

Looks nice dude, trim looks fine. Just wait until they dry and touch em up. I do all my trimming dry, I just take off all the fans and larger leaves when I pull down and have the fine trimming done when fully dry.

You should trim before dying... The little sugar leaves are still carrying a good amount of water which could either take your nugs longer to dry or you could take on mold...

Never had that problem before, wet trimming is a lot harder and almost impossible when you have a good size setup/multiple rooms. It would take forever if we had to trim as we were pulling down and would delay the next run going in. On a larger scale its a lot easier to pull it all at once, hang it, and have the trimmers come take care of it when dry

Imo actually your not suppose to handle wet nugs that much, because when they're wet they bruise easily and it degrades the smell. Like working with a wet trimmer, the smell is always not that good when its trimmed wet for that reason. We have two twister t2's that we don't even touch any more for that reason. We did a side by side and not only did the dry hand trim look 100% better, it was a night and day difference on the smell and taste of the same strain. I mean hand trimming when wet isn't as detrimental as a twister, but we try to handle our wet stuff as gently and as little as possible for these reasons.

I just think trimming a majority of your large and small sugar leaves should be trimmed wet and then they can be touched up to perfection once dried. I believe it cured better this way rather than waiting till the products dry but we all have our preferences... But as I stated before... Sugar leaves carry a lot of water and could cause bud rot or elongated drying cycles

And what you're explaining is exactly what I did. I appreciate your help. However, a simple atta boy before you give me advice on such a subjective topic would have been cool

Like I stated before its just impractical on a large scale. Also I've never encountered mold before while drying, we use dehums set to 50% relative humidity and fans. It also makes it harder because everyone saves their trim now for shatter and if you wet trim you have to set aside extra space just to dry all the trim instead of drying it all at once in the same amount of square feet. Thats why we just take all the fans off and save any sugar for the dry trim so our trim doest have to be gone through and separated fans/sugar leaf later. It might work well for small scale, this is just my opinion and personal experience. Not trying to offend any one
