Necrotic leaves.

I'm running hand built organic soil and fed some cal mag. The next day a few of my plants look like this. They're Gage greens, golden Gage and cornerstone.
My npk values are all in order. This sucks. I don't see any root aphids. Any thoughts? Could it be wet leaves 6 inches from my t5 light?​

May I ask what is in your mix?

How close is that t5 and how many bulbs. What are canopy temps? T5 can burn plants.

Looks like a small nute burn.

Pat this is my third run with this soil. I used coots recipe with added high phos guano and potash since I had a similar problem the first run. It was ugly. They were not there at all. Now the npk is good and my soil ph is neutral.
White. The lights were about 6 inches and canopy temps get up into the 80's.
Farmer no I don't ph my well water. Never had it tested or anything either. It's a strange situation. Everything seems in order.

Imo not light burn, with t5 the plant has to practically touch the light to burn. Could be ph problem. Do you use a filter on your water?

I find it's in relation to ambient temps. I have had them cause leaf margin roll and burnt edges at 5-6 inches if ambient temps get to far into the 80's.

Yea I've never had my clone room that high in temperature so I couldn't say. I just know the only time they burn in my room is when the actually touch the t5

I'm not saying that is what it is. Just thing to eliminate possibilities.
It just put it in my mind with canopy temps in the 80's

I forgot to mention it happened after topping too. Maybe there wasn't enough plant to evaporate properly and keep themselves cool. The plants that were on the outside of the tent are in better shape. I think it might be narrowed down to overwatering-overheating.
Have any of you heard of cal mag causing burn of this sort?

I think it's a soil-related issue, also if you are using coots you should be good on cal and mag.
If I were to guess, i'd say your soil is too rich, or not aged right.
You sure it happened that fast? typically damage like that manifests itself a lil slower.

could be overheating, but again, that usually doesn't look like that, overheating is normall a normal green with burned edges, all that mottling and discoloration... seems to me, that it's more likely soil related..
I've seen that from both making a soil too rich and not allowing it to age right.
(both I did personally by the way..yrs ago.... nobody is perfect, right fellas?)

Looks like pH fluctuation problem. What was the pH of the cal/mag solution you fed them?

I don't check ph. It's my understanding the soil will adjust it to neutral. I'll look into it to see if it's way off. The soil has "cooked" for plenty of time. It sure seemed to come on fast. But has seemed to stop progressing since I rearranged the tent a little.

I fed too often molasses one grow and it looked similar.

ahh, looks like its from the spray, that's my guess.
I've seen damage like that before from spraying, what did you spray on them?
Was that the cal/mag?
